UPND President Hakainde Hichilema has called on UPND members to remain peaceful at all times and to continue party mobilisation activities within the confines of the law.He encouraged his members to strive for this despite the various attempts at provocation and intimidation the UPND may face.
Mr.Hichilema said the UPND was honoured once again to receive new members,whom he called Ambassadors of Change in Choma yesterday, including a sitting PF Councillor for Livingstone’s Maramba Ward.He said there are no old or new members in UPND’s ever growing party. Mr.Hichilema said everyone must be treated equally.
‘Regardless of gender, tribe or political affiliation all our people deserve equal opportunities in education and employment in order to alleviate poverty,’he said

There is no room for growth of UPND in SP. It is the sole party there and any efforts to show that it is overgrowing is a poor PR. The growth of UPND should be done outside SP. It is a well known fact from the past election that SP is a no go zone for other parties. In short HH is cheating himself to think or attempt to show us anything new in SP. We are giving him 100% votes in SP this time in order to satisfy his regional and tribal ego. He and his regional party will be defeated in other provinces. With the new 50%+1 clause, this will be the most highly contested election where all (dirty) tactics will be applied. As such, the govt and opposition should conspire to constitute an independent justice, truth and reconciliation commission to work hand in hand with the intelligence. They should monitor all irresponsible remarks and ill plans taking place on the ground. The high and mighty should equally not be spared. Those nabbed should be severely punished ranging from ban in political paticipation to imprisonment. The media should be equally monitored. Where there is smoke there is fire. The current sporadic instances of violence speak volume. In extreme cases, the commission/spy may advise the govt to postpone the election if circumstances dictate so. Goodluck.
The Public Order Act (PoA) must be applied and enforced religiously especially on UPND because in the absence of it, these headless chickens will be causing confusion wherever they meet.
President Sata and PF were in opposition ten (10) solid years and we never saw violence by PF carders because PF knew where it stood.
