Man gets 30 years for defiling 4 year old

court

A 30-YEAR-OLD man of Kitwe who enticed a girl aged four to his house for a meal, has been jailed for 30 years for defiling the minor.
After the meal, Nicholas Mwale, a general worker and resident of Chachacha township, stuffed the girl’s mouth with a cloth to prevent her from screaming as he molested her sexually.
And passing the sentence last Friday, Kitwe High Court judge Isaac Kamwendo said he was meting out stiff punishment considering the rising cases of defilement in the country.
In the subordinate court, Mwale pleaded guilty to one count of child defilement and admitted having known that the victim was below consent age for sex, when he had carnal knowledge of her.
And Mr Justice Kamwendo observed that having carnal knowledge of a girl aged four was in itself an aggravating circumstance.
He noted that cases of defilement have continued to rise despite perpetrators being punished by the courts.

  1. There’s no sentence suitable for the heinous crime this animal has committed. The crime should fit the penalty. How about death by hanging – and ACTUALLY carrying it out? That’s a sure way of keeping all such animals away from babies.
