THE Patriotic Front (PF) in Southern Province have distanced itself from some comments attributed to Livingstone District Commissioner Omar Munsanje in the media.

PF Southern province secretary Moses Ngosa said the party has received six applications for people wishing to contest the Livingstone parliamentary seat.

Mr Ngosa said the party had not failed to have suitable candidates in any part of the province and were allowing more people to apply.

“As a Patriot Front in Southern Province, we distant the Party from the comments in the online media by the Post today, purporting to be from Livingstone District Commissioner Mr Omar Munsanje that the Party has failed to have a credible Parliamentary aspiring Candidates for Livingstone Constituency.

“The position of the Party is that we have more than six people who have applied for parliamentary contest and they are all credible women and men,” he said.

He said the most suitable candidate would be known after interviews and party structures recommendations.

He said the party had not failed in any way to have credible candidates to apply to contest for parliamentary and the councilors and mayoral elections because they have received overwhelming applications.

“Generally, the response has been overwhelming across the Province and we are still allowing people to apply in order for them to exercise their Democratic rights,” he said.

However, Mr Munsanje has the right to express his opinion and it should be respected.

He has since invited PF members’ supporters and sympathisers to apply to contest under the ruling party ticket.

Meanwhile, the Patriotic Front (PF) has urged women and the youths in Southern Province to aspire for leadership positions in the country.

PF vice-chairperson for elections Kelvin Fube who was speaking in Choma at the weekend during women and youth sensitisation luncheon held at the Choma Museum and Craft Centre said the party was on a mission and was looking for women and youths leaders who had potential.

Mr Fube urged the women and the youths to change the mind-set expose their potential because the country was desperate for leaders.

“ PF is looking for women leaders who can inspire and not insult, this party is looking for women who can inspire and able to reconcile when they have differences.

“We know that women and youth are scared people as they have fear of the unknown, they say that they can’t do anything and no one cares about them,” he said.

He said the women and youths should be encouraged and that was the only way that they would be able to aspire for leadership.

However Mr Fube urged the women and the youth to ensure the vote one time to avoid a re-run because it would be so costly for the nation.

PF Choma District chairperson Kebby Mbewe in his welcoming remarks urged the women and the youths to take advantage of the empowerment funds that government had put in place.

Mr Mbewe further urged the women and the youth to apply to be considered for the parliamentary and local government elections because there was a 40 percent consideration for them and 20 percent for the youths.

“ Youths are important to the development of this country , you have an opportunity to compete for the 20 percent of the seats that are reserved for youths and 40 percent for women,” he said.

  1. PF and their tribalism. It beats how the Provincial Secretary of PF is a Ngosa and the District Chairman of Choma PF is a Mbewe. Infact the one for Monze is Gilbert Mwila who replaced a Chanda.

    • Its not PF tribalism the thing is that you have refused to work with PF cause of threats from your god and your chiefs.

    • All the Himweenes, Chuundas, Mweetwas, Shamalambos, Habeenzus dont want to work with PF, so what do you expect. And then it hits me, why can the whole clan refuse.? Anyways, thats a discussion for another day.

    • Mutu,
There is Ngosa in SP ( Ngosa Simbiankula- Minister of Justice), theres also a Mutale even Village Mutale in SP ( I Know of one at Ministry of Education who is Tonga), there is also a Mwenda in SP and this same Mwenda is found in Luapula, theres a Nkandu in both SP and NP, Musonda is common in NWP, LP and NP. There is a Mwanza in NWP and EP. The list is endless. Twalimishiba mwebatonga that’s why for some of us even when the economy is in dire straits, I cannot make a mistake of voting for a tonga coz of such behaviour. And if one was to stand against a frog, I would vote for a frog coz to you guys just coz a tonga is standing nenshi you think that tonga president is only meant for you. Baf1kala

  2. @Mutu,you mean from the entire story the only thing you can pick is tribalism which is not even part of the story. That is the problem when people read what they want to hear and not what is in story. Try aleast for once to use your brain and not your hatred and bitterness and you will save yourself from the effects of hatred and bitterness which is high blood pressure.

  3. Well said guys on top!!some of these tongas are crazy!!DONT U KNOW THAT 99% TONGAS ARE UPND?CHECK THE STRUCTURES OF UPND AND U WILL BE SHOCKED THAT 99% POSTS ARE HELD BY BANTUSTANS!!you all worship your evil hh and PF (a party with national character) is at liberty to appoint bembas and easterners to be their leaders in Tongaland!!PLUS IF PF MAKE A RISK OF GIVING ITS LEADERSHIP IN SOUTHERN TO TONGAS THAT CAN BE THE END OF PF IN TONGALAND AS THEY CAN ONLY BE PRETENDING TO BE PF WHILE THEY REPORT TO THEIR ka god HH!!SO GOOD MOVE BY PF HERE!!PLUS THIS OMAR MUSANJE IS JUST INTERESTED IN LIVINGSTONE SEAT SINCE HE IS DC THERE!!

    • That’s true. personally I was UPND on the CB until 2011 elections when Mazoka was winning and when I went to see my friends whom I wanted to celebrate with the expected victory, I found the language had changed in his bar and they were singing and ululating in Tonga saying they had defeated the bembas and I couldn’t even take a beer and just rushed home to hope that things change and for sure AKM lost and from that time I vowed I will never support UPND. Those thinking HH can unite Zambians are just cheating themselves

  4. LT please i can not see the former LTA chairperson Mr. Active Monze in this picture you claim Active is on it, please DELETE the comment. Otherwise we, the PF in Livingstone we are united just for you to know.

Vote for ECL 2016, a humble man!

From your friends in Livingstone 2016

  5. YOU TONGAS ARE A PROBLEM, THE ONLY THING YOU SEE AND THINK OF IS TRIBALISM. EVEN IN THE CIVIL SERVICE, IMMEDIATELY A TONGA IS APPOINTED DIRECTOR, ALL OF A SUDDEN THE PLACE IS INFILTRATED WITH TONGAS, “BREAK-OUT” OF TONGAS! ZAMBIANS MY HUMBLE APPEAL IS “DONT TRY A TONGA AS PRESIDENT” BECAUSE THEY ARE VERY POWER-HUNGRY, TO REMOVE HIM IT WILL BE SYRIA, BECAUSE HE WILL WANT TO HAND-OVER TO ANOTHER TONGA! PERIOD.

    • Pf you have failed cos the only thing you know is tribe. Here is a question did you apply to God for you to be a bemba don’t you know that if God you a dog. Let me tell you something in every tribe there is different types of people, toll or short ,brown or black, fat or slim, educated or not, no brains like you some with brains. So for me am going to vote for HH because of his brains not a tribe because I don’t eat a tribe.

    • You are the one who is cursed because you don’t know tongas were created by God so if you insult them you are insulting God the one created them more over your pf has brought misery to Zambians cos of them insulting God through tribalism. Then call others Satanist when you are the ones insulting God every day.

  6. I will vote for some one who can lead and manage the economy of the coutry, create wealth and prosperity be it tonga or bemba or chewa or whatever he comes from that is what is impoertant. If the Lungu can not improve the economy let him rest period. You do not want your children to inherit a bankrupted country. no please.

  7. PF is dead…whether you distance yourself or not the facts remain unchanged. you dont have candidates because you are not attractive.

  8. I dont really know what to say… because all that has been said above about my girl’s friend tribe is true. She has several times confessed that we (Tongs are just an in-thinking people, that everything non southern is wrong).
Please help me God… ”personal true story, chunks of the contents cut short”
In the lead up to the 2015 elections and the perceived ‘impending HH victory’ someone I considered a very good and close friend of mine here in Sweden… left without saying goodbye because she thought I was a threat by not being Tonga. She is a very ‘close friend’ from a teachers training college (Charles Lwa…) and came for studies here, and apparently she was of one HH and thus diplomatic jobs were just awaiting her, ‘friends’ & family…
    I can’t finish the whole…

    • You are liar ! But am not surprised cos that you pf cadres know most you lied in 2011 and we gave you votes for this year 4get . HH is the man we have suffered alot how much m/meal now and how much it will be in 2019 if ecl and pf wins? Here in northern we want HH Tonga or Kaonde we will vote on merit not tribe.

  9. Story…
Please help me God… ”personal true story, chunks of the contents cut short”
, please make up your own conclusions people… but for me this Tonganisation of, the Zambian leadership for Tongas, by and only a Tonga is real and sucks.
    I wish I weren’t Zambian.

    • So ba Daka just because the Lady ditched you because of your short hand, we should all sympathise with your stinginess and re-vote poverty?? Awe equation yakana mwe!

  10. We want people who are able to keep themselves well even not in state house not people who only became fat after entering state house and start abusing the power he was given by US Zambians. You are busy buying opposition members instead helping the poor as if is your money when it is ours. We don’t want bicycles we want jobs de 500,000 jobs you promised us youths.

  11. I find this denial from Ngosa interesting in that a few days ago, the party chief whip Chama himself was issuing another denial, claiming that the party was overwhelmed with applications. Now, as logic would have it, if you are overwhelmed, you do not carry forward the deadline for receiving applications! Yashupa mu PF.

  12. I cannot get it – PF has already received overwhelming applications but next line they are inviting more applicants. Maybe I am think?
