Green Buffaloes captain Christopher Katongo has announced that he is now ready to play after missing the club’s last league match due to a short illness.

Katongo was not available when Buffaloes lost 1-0 to Nchanga Rangers on April 9 in Chingola due to a stomach-ache.

The Chipolopolo striker said he resumed training last week and he is now available for selection.

“It was not an injury just but a stomach-ache and I am back in training,” Katongo said.

“I am now available for selection and ready to play.”

Katongo is an influential player at the Army outfit.

Meanwhile, Katongo says it is too early to rate Buffaloes’ performance so far in the season.

Buffaloes, who have two games in hand, are 11th on the table with 5 points from 4 matches.

“It is too early to talk about how we have performed. We have just played few games and we have two un-played matches,” Katongo said.

Buffaloes are currently preparing to face Lusaka Dynamos in their next FAZ Super Division match on April 23.
