Sports Kalulushi Modern Stars end Div 1 winless drought

Kalulushi Modern Stars on Sunday thumped local rivals Chambishi 2-0 to register their first win of the 2016 FAZ Division One Zone Two season.

Goals from strike Michael Musonda and midfielder Edward Tembo at Independence Stadium helped Kalulushi to end an-eight match win less run

Kalulushi had drawn seven matches and lost one prior to the Kalulushi derby against Chambishi.

This win pushed Kalulushi into 11th place with 10 points from 9 matches.

Elsewhere in Zone Two, Konkola Blades stayed top after thumping struggling Mining Rangers 3-0 at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe.

Konkola scored through Brian Chewe,Dickson Chapa and Kabila Kunda as they moved to 20 points after nine rounds of matches.

Ndola outfit Gomes Wanderers beat visiting Solwezi side Bresmar United 1-0 to maintain second position and increase their tally to 18 points.
