Popular Zambian monthly magazine the Bulletin and Record has announced that it has been forced out of publication due to the current economic circumstances.

According to a notice, the publication has failed to close down after it failed to print its May and June issues.

The Bulletin and Record follows in the path of another popular monthly magazine the Lusaka Lowdown to cease publishing.

The Zambian economy has deteriorated over the past four years with inflation rising from 5 percent to over 21 percent over the same period.

‘Thanks for all the calls, mails & messages enquiring for the whereabouts of the ‘next’ B&R issue. Sorry to declare that we have had to close down for now, or for good. We haven’t been able to get the May or June issues printed,’ it said.

‘We’ve been forced out of publication due to current economic circumstances – along with dozens of other companies – but there are other reasons too. We do have some great articles and info that should be published – and will be putting them out here and on our website. Get back to you in the next few days.’

‘Other reasons that caused us to end so abruptly and with no warning to our many 1,000’s of readers-sorry for that!’

The Bulletin & Record has over the past five years offered an entertaining read that combines lifestyles with hard hitting news Journalism and in-depth business and economic analysis of the current affairs that affects that affect and influence business people, politicians, decision markets and the wider population.
