Green Buffaloes coach Bilton Musonda has welcomed the pairing of his side against Power Dynamos in the quarter-finals of the 2016 Barclays Cup.

Defending champions Buffaloes will face two-time winners Power in the 18th September fourth quarter-final tie at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.

In an interview, Musonda described the outcome of the draws as fair.

“The draws were fair. If you are in a competition you expect to face any team. If we skip Power Dynamos whom do we want to play,” he remarked.

This match will be a repeat of last year’s Barclays Cup tie which Power lost 5-3 on penalties after a goalless draw.

Musonda admitted that Buffaloes must be at their best to retain the cup.

“As champions we have to fight to retain the cup. It won’t be easy to retain the cup so we have to work for it,” he said.

Buffaloes won their maiden Barclays Cup last year after overcoming Nkwazi in the final.
