Today the Court dismissed an application by Constitutional Court Registrar Kelvin Limbani that there is no space to keep election materials following the request made to the court by the UPND to have all presidential election materials used in the just ended elections in the custody of the court.
Constitutional Court Judge Annie Sitali ruled that the affidavit should be filed by another person other than the Registrar of the Constitutional Court.
And Judge Sitali has said that she will consider hearing the application by the petitioners to amend the petition on Monday.
Meanwhile, UPND Lawyer Gilbert Phiri has told journalists that his team is confident that the petition will be disposed off within the constitutional fourteen days.
Mr. Phiri stated that the court is on course in hearing the petition and that there are no unnecessary delays in handling the matter.
The matter has been adjourned to Monday for continued hearing of preliminary issues

We have become so myopic and lost sight of the bigger picture. It is sad for citizens to treat politicians, especially the ones in government, like royalty. Our leaders think they are doing a good job with the praises and support we shower them with. African countries will start developing the moment we make politicians understand that they are elected to serve us and not for us to worship them. The opposition is there to provide checks and balances on behalf of the citizens and yet we call them all sorts of names and forget how important this mandate is. This is not a game. People we put in office will determine the direction this country headed.

Much like everyone has the right to express opinions up here (minus insults). We do not have to agree with each other and should learn to agree to differ like any good parent should teach their child.
Increasingly some behave as though they should be listened to over others. This election had supporters on both sides, apathetic and those who just want what they feel is best for Zed which may be neither but it remains the constitutional right of the opposition to exist and excercise all rights at their disposal.

How Does HH Claim to Have Won?
Looking at past elections, including 2011, Zambians have a pattern of votting that makes HH claim invalid.
In cross examinations, the defence can sure ask even the bench to ask themselves if there were in a polling Booth, would they Vote HH as president and Vote for a PF MP? No, and a big NO.
Today, as we stand, more PF MPs have been declared than UNDP.
If HH was a serious politician, he should have petitioned for wards, MPs and Mayor’s results, not presidency.
