  1. What an insult from this crooked pillock. Meanwhile his daughter who was an economic refugee in America now thinks that she is owed deputy mayorship just because she thinks the sun shines out her backside.

    • Indeed Edgar is so stubborn and he’s trying by all means to convince the world to believe that the elections were free and fair but unfortunately the more he tries to do that the more he is hating some of us who knows exactly what happened on Saturday night (13.08.2016) when the Opposition was clearly headed for a resounding victory. Chagwa has even has ths guts to tell the whole world that these elections were free and fair! honestly one only needs a small amount of conscience if that’s all he has to know that these elections were a total sham third from Uganda and Zimbabwe

    • Ba@NEZ naimwe who is a crook between HH and ECL? HH got rich dubiously while ECL was duly elected by majority Zambians,5 more years mukalila mukanaka @Mushota naiwe why do you openly show so much stupid.ity, you are a disgrace to the pipo from the north of Zambia.

    • Ati paid tribute to zambians and the international community for the just ended elections! This UN conference about refugees! Why talk about zambian elections?? Some one must stop Ku ma conferences

    • President Lungu is very right about the elections.

That petition was malicious, and a total disruption plan by the UPND.

That is why even the owners avoided talking about it for a solid 14 days.

The hey spent all the time looking for gymics to avoid discussing the petition as they did no have the slightest of evidence.

    • HH is also addressing the international community from his verandah. Never underestimate humility. You can insult ECL all day long but you won’t take away his Presidency. Bye!

    • Your daughter Tasila might not even return to Lusaka, your PF are denying her democracy, just in same way HH was denied, because of being too polished.

    • Mushota,
Where does God fit in in thes story? Do not mention my name in vain says the Lord. Be careful how you play politics.

    • “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.” Joseph Goebbels.
So this guy is trying to peddle his biggest lie to the UN. Fortunate enough, the people there are way too intelligent to buy it. Zambian presidential election wasn’t free and fair. Far from it.

    • First time Zambian democracy was assaulted on television.
First time The Post Newspapers and Muvi TV shut-down for promoting democracy. To heeeell with you.

  2. You can see my President standing tall in the middle behind Obama. For those who think the PF stole their vote, well, we also think you stole our votes in Southern Province. Please pull yourselves together and move on. This is Democracy and EL got more than just 50+1 votes. This will eat you up. Insulting our President will not take you anywhere because he is your President. He is our President. Next time it will be Garry Nkombo or even HH if you choose. UPND is almost there. Keep up with winning votes from Lusaka, Central, Copperbelt and even Northern. You will get there and at that time you will need us including EL you want to insult even in your dreams. Let us have this constructive chat towards healing if you want. I will invite those of you who feel Zambian to join me for this new…

    • Garry Nkombo?

You guys touting Garry Nkombo for Presidency really surprise me. Do you really know this guy? If so, what leadership qualities does he possess? Are you promoting this chap from a position of total ignorance? Gary is another sot no better (or worse off) than Miles.

I remember last time some people (especially Mushota) were promoting Miles Sampa as presidential material. At first I thought it was a joke until the cries became louder! Miles picked this up (I am sure from social media) and defiantly, against all odds, ‘formed’ his party. Well, the rest is history.

      Garry beware…

  3. With a commitment to promoting democracy and the rule of law. My foot. You left people here in jail without charges or with cooked up charges and some are just been arrested and yet your Ministers and cadres shooting at opponents yet they are not even given a single charge. Whom do you thing you are fooling?

  4. Lungu is naive and a hypocrite of note. We all know that the Zambia 2016 Elections were not free and fair and that is why UPND filed a Petetion with Concourt against Lungu’s re-election. Lungu is mocking the majority of Zambians who voted for HH. Lungu knows he stole the election from HH and that is why he is blocking the Concourt Petetion Hearing. If Lungu genuinely won this election then he has nothing to fear. Lets have a proper, fair and timely Petetion Hearing then from the evidence Concourt can determine and declare the true winner of this election. The fact that Lungu has frantically been blocking the Petetion Hearing confirms that Lungu stole these elections from HH. Until and unless this Petetion is heard Lungu will remain an illegal and illegitimate President of Zambia. The…

    • Of course, they were not free and fair to the losers. But to the world and the 50+1 Zambians, they were. So you haters brace yourselves for 5 years of humiliation since you want to see Zambia fail. But that will not happen in a thousand years. Zambia will prosper under Edgar C. Lungu and beyond. That stupid petition was just to save face and they know it. They were beaten hands down and they are in denial. Only f00ls act like ostriches.

    • Are you saying “WE ALL KNOW”? which we? ine umfumnyeko kufyabupuba am not part of that we. For me ECL won fair and square. Uwawa tabula kabepesho thus why UPND will forever be cry babies. Even 2021 u will cry! I rest my case.

    • The number of valid votes cast was 3,781,505. So, according to the ECZ, the number of votes scored by Edgar Lungu was 1,860,877 and those scored by Hakainde Hichilema was 1,760,347. In percentage terms, this means ECL achieved 49.21% and HH 46.55%, meaning that the 50% plus 1 threshold was NOT attained. That was why Lungu blocked the Petition.

    • That petition was malicious.

That is why even the owners avoided talking about it for a solid 14 days.

The hey spent all the time looking for gymics to avoid discussing the petition as they did no have the slightest of evidence.

    • DODO Uli wa DOBO maningi
      Total votes cast was 3,781,505
      Spoiled votes 85,795
Valid votes 3,695,710 This is total votes cast minus spoiled votes
therefore % votes for HH is
      1,760,347
      ————– x 100 = 47.63217%
      3,695,710
Work out the same arithmetic you will find that ECL got 50.35235%

Maths is absolute even in Dundumwezi 50.35% is greater than 47.63% . No need for raised BPs unneccesarily

  5. WHEN WE SEE SUCH PICTURES BEING EXPOSED TO MANY ZAMBIANS WHOM HE ROBBED, WE WONDER EVEN HOW THIS MEDIA CAN INDICATE THAT THE ELECTIONS WERE FREE AND FAIR.
ZAMBIANS FROM THE OTHER SIDE IF THIS KOLWE NA MBEBA GAME IS LEFT UNCHECKED BECAUSE WE ARE HUMBLE IN SPIRIT (EXCEPT THE LOZI) WE SHALL BE TOOLS MOCKERY.
LET US FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHTS. LAMBAS YOU HAVE BEEN LEBELED AS COWARDS, LUNDA, LUVALE AND KAONDES AS DOOR MATS, LENJES, SOLI AS COOL SHEEP, AND NKOYA, MBUNDA AND LOZI, MBUNDA- NKOYA CONFUSE THEM SO THAT THEY WASTE TIME WHILE US WE RULE THEM.

    • HH had assembled a group of excellent lawyers. If indeed the evidence of vote stealing or rigging was overwhelming then I think those lawyers would have pushed the case in the strongest way they could. The fact that they also seemed not sure of where to start from or what to do shows that there was no case at all. HH kept pushing them out of emotions and bitterness and nothing else. Many people also know that he hatched this idea of claiming he won the elections to buy himself more time to lead UPND. He wants to continue but I think in UPND he can continue without putting up such defense mechanisms because even his followers cannot see beyond him.

    • @ Kabu, it doesn’t matter what you say. It won’t nullify the fact that UPND was denied their constitutional right to be heard. And don’t say they had 14 days in which to present the case because they didn’t. If you check the facts, you’ll see that they were deliberately delayed, till the last few days of the 14 days to start the hearing. And then when the judges were challenged over this, they agreed, which was on a Friday, and decided to continue the hearing the following Monday. Come Monday, 3 of the judges changed their tune, and declared that the hearing was over. That’s completely incompetent and unprofessional. How can they go back on their own word like that? Obviously something must have happened between Friday and Monday, some kind of outside influence. And not everyone…

    • (Continue)… who points out this glaring injustice is a UPND cadre, no. PF have a right to rule the country just like any other party in Zambia. But they have to get the mandate from the people legally.

  6. His Excellency presented well, and hit the target. Diversification of our economy, hydro, solar power are our future. Investors are most desired even though we worry about their tax contributions!

The democratic process in Zambia has been front row and we have proven to be an advancing nation with a watertight election process. The Petition by UPND, proved our constitutional amendments adequately provide to serious challenge and is not open to abuse of that process. Our 50%+1 rule, has proven that the Presidential candidate is overall winner and must meet with a proper Majority of votes to be President. That rule also ensured a slimmed down Presidential Candidate list of runners especially since the cost to run was set high enough to prevent fluke careerist candidates from taking…

    • How many times has this Lazy Bum Edgar read speeches about diversification and value addition yet he is doing the opposite…this is the Bum who is importing 2000 solar hammermillls from China for $200m.

    • @Born Free, the Rule of Law was firmly affirmed. It’s just you don’t understand what happened in the legal battle. UPND failed to support their Petition, the law threw it out!

@Jay Jay, remember Lungu was in office for a little over a year, there was not much he could have done to change things, he performed. Very well in that period in upholding what was current and completing the targeted economic development plans from 2011. Didn’t he do well uh! However, now he has 5 years, that’s plenty to observe the mark of the man. Expect good things!

  7. ECL won the election and it was free and fair. What he said there was the truth. HH could not prove the stolen vote in 14 days. His lawyers running around with no facts all that time. Now accept or live in denial up until 2021. Good morning everyone.

  8. It was the indomitable intellectual Albert Einstein who once said, and quote: “Two things are infinite – the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe.” Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups, especially Zambians. And there is no better proof of this quotation than in Zambian because indeed it is here where in all spheres of life stupidity is not a handicap. For where else could a fully blown id.iot like Chiluba who bought 250 designer shoes at once using tax payers’ money or worse still a clearly senile and diseased unrepetent tribal bigot like Sata ascend to the apex of power? Look at Lungu, an alcoholic wayward lumpen rigs elections in broad day light and the likes of Nkandu Luo, supposedly educated Neanderthalls, cheer him on “Ifintu…

    • Chiluba’s salary could buy him even one thousand designer suits.
Sata ascended to power because he proved hardwork in every ministry he worked and Zambians decided to try him at the large scale. And he started doing that.
Lungu is a sincere and sharp man. He uses the strength of others to achieve national goals. That’s why like him or hate him he is posed to emerge as the greatest president Africa has ever seen. Watch the space.
Nkandu Luo is a professor by studying and researching work. It is not honourily.
Are al these perfect people? Not at all. Like any other human they had or have short comings but they genuinely love Zambia. Read ” A President Betrayed” to see if Chiluba was really a thief.

    • Are you looking for angels among humans? Good luck to you! Baba even you and your preferred HH have skeletons because you’re bonafide citizens of this fallen world. The world you’re our past leaders with is yet to be established the Son of God – Jesus the Redeemer, Saviour and Restorer! Before then we’ll always have imperfect leaders arising from amongst our imperfect selves!

    • Ba Mwendanjangula naimwe dont talk about dead pipo who can not defend themselves it is a taboo in our African set up, suppose it was your dead father who was being disparaged like that, how would you feel? The bitterness and hatred you have for Lungu will choke you to death and will not take you anywhere, your HH has simply failed to appeal to Zambians because of what he did during the privatisation period.

    • Listen to the excuses of Bemba thieves: don’t talk about dead thieves ; and nobody is perfect! Asking for honest leadership is not being difficult. We deserve better than these takataka thieves, you people of no morals.

    • @Mwendanjungula, maybe you are right on the infinity of human stupidity.

Flogging a dead horse, worse still TWO, is the epitome of crass stupidity…

  9. When you are commenting on the elections, do not write ”We Zambians” because you do not represent me in your opinion… Just write ”I”… because it is your opinion only… I have a different opinion, so do not include me!!!

    • BA jujunior. YOU EITHER BELONG TO THE 50% +13,000 OR TO THOSE WHO GOT LESS. UNFORTUNATELY IN A DEMOCRACY, WINNER GETS IT ALL.

    • Yes Jujunior you are right. Why say we when am not part of that “WE” Dont think every one supports your opinion by including us in your statements. you don’t like ECL but i do Love him and you cant change that so speak for yourself.

  10. Evil isn’t the real threat to the continued existence of Zambia as a unitary state & it’s for this simple reason that it’s wholly illogical of Chagwa to come up with a new religious affairs ministry. Our biggest woe is stupidity which seems a lot more destructive than evil, & it’s a hell of a lot more common. What we really need is a crusade against stupidity. That will surely make one hell of a positive difference. It’ll also save us the pain of listening to the likes of Kambwili, Luo, Mumbi-Phiri, Chagwa, Father Bwalya etc who seen to have just about enough intelligence to open their mouths when they want to eat, but certainly no more. Maybe stupidity must be punishable by death here, one hell of a guarantee for an ideal population drop in Zambia.

    • Free advice: don’t allow politics to get to the core of your being because you’ll only end up needlessly subjecting your valuable peace of mind to turmoils of folly. Engage in politics shrewdly!

    • I can see how countries end up like Syria or Somalia. Sometimes it is better to have no country than be led by a bunch of pompous idyots. It is better to test their claims to superiority than to be willingly sat on by dunderheads.

    • @ Buck Teeth Lungu

While in many countries uprising is usually against the ruling, I see a different situation in this country. If there will be any uprising I see it happening against one opposition party whose leaders think they are better than every other Zambian. Watch the events closely.

  11. It’s amazing seeing hateful comments coming from the usual characters who thought and still think that elections are won via social media. You can post all you want dear brothers and sisters, the Bible says love your enemy, but it will not change the status quo. President Lungu was sworn in after a declaration that over 50 percent of the votes cast were in his favour. Sadly, you the characters most of whom are even in the Diaspora and did not even vote are speaking the loudest, but suffice to note that you are in the minority group; the ones that did not vote for President Lungu. And it does not end there, President Lungu has been accepted by world leaders that he is the legitimate President of Zambia. An interesting point to note is that all these countries have their network and…

  12. I really feel for you upnd supporters. I know you can’t comprehend seeing the president standing among other leaders. We know that chilekalipa, however, does it really make you happy to lie and insult?? You have sung the song of rigging for too long. can you please share some of your evidence? Your president was supposed to give his lawyers such but opted not to. Bundles of documents are supposed to filed in court as well as serve the other party but none was done so you just want us to believe your lies?* thats hearsay and does not hold any water hence your insults and name calling. The international observers in the recent elections were one of the first people that declared the elections free and fair. So do your party a favour and be objective otherwise you are just exposing…

    • Why do you want evidence now when you fought tooth and nail not to heart it in court? The evidence is now being revealed in petitions for councillors and MPs. Chakolwa’s victory is hollow and it shows on his gloomy face, much as he drowns his conscience in Jemason and dancing Dununa Reverse.

  13. Let us respect our President and the final outcome of this election. Bitterness will take Zambia no where. It is now time to work. Those who did not make it wait for 2021 please.

  14. Zambia is where it is mainly because most Zambians of a productive age want free things. They want someone to get a job for them instead of competing in interviews on a level playing ground. They want to drink alcohol and have sex any how outside marriage. They want government to reduce prices of goods to the extent of going to supermarkets and just collect goods for free. They want to borrow and not pay back. Those working in government have formed companies and are the suppliers of goods in government at prices more than three times market prices. They want leakage for exams. Some even bribe lecturers sexually or with money to get through their studies. Lets change our altitude to life for a better Zambia. Lets also learn to respect our leaders be it ECL, HH, NAWAKWI, ETC.

  15. THERE GOES THE SMOOTH CRIMINAL MOCKING ZAMBIANS AGAIN. ZAMBIA WILL GO NOWHERE IN DEVELOPMENT AS LONG AS WE KEEP ENTERTAINING SUCH MEDIOCRE CHARACTERS LIKE THIS ONE. THIS THIEF KNOWS DEEP DOWN HIS HEART THAT HIS PLANS ARE TO PLUNDER AND DESTROY OUR COUNTRY. LUNGU IS A MESS.

  16. has been accepted by world leaders that he is the legitimate President of Zambia. An interesting point to note is that all these countries have their network and embassies in Zambia who recommend and report the goings on, it simply means the polls were given a thumbs up, despite one or two flaws that were however insignificant to change the direction of the polls. If this was not the case, the international community would have risen and spoken out. Our Constitution states that there shall be only ONE President to preside over the nation and that is President Edgar Chagwa Lungu for the next Five Years. He is President for all Zambians even you characters that despise him. Choke on that!

  17. It is wishful thinking for PF Bloggers to think that the UPND Petetion filed at Concourt is dead and buried. The Petetion is very much alive and its pending hearing. As long as this Petetion is not properly disposed off Lungu will remain an illegal and illegitimate President. Sanctions and travel restrictions awaits Lungu and his Election Riggers. No donor aid and IMF loans and the Zambian economy will collapse. Even SADC and AU will not condone electoral theft and fraud and celebrate the death of Constitutional Democracy in Zambia. This Petetion will hound Lungu for the rest of his life.

    • The world leaders are tolerating lungu the same way they do for dictators like Mugabe,mu7,before them idi amin etc do you expct them to chuck him out.

  18. Where is His Excellency president Mr hh standing. Can someone pin point for me. Am using a small screen I can’t see him.

  19. WHEN DID WE EVER ATTACKED A PRESIDENT LIKE THIS IN ZAMBIA? THIS IS AN INDICATION THAT ZAMBIA IS SLOWLY SINKING LOW AND VERY SOON SOMETHING BAD WILL COME IN TO DIVIDE ZAMBIA. JUDGES- CORRUPT OR TRIBAL, ZNBC BIAS OR UNPROFFESSIONAL BECAUSE ONE IS CONTROLLING IT, ECZ CORRUPT AND TRIBAL, CHURCH BODIES CORRUPT AND TRIBAL- ENTERTAIN SIN FOR PF LEADERSHIP AND ITS QUITE BECAUSE THEY ARE CRYING FOR MONEY, POLICE WORSE – TOOLS TO HARRAS THE OPPOSITION.
WHERE ARE WE NOW? WE ARE ON THE CROSSROAD.

  20. Well done your excellency. We’re proud of you indeed and please ignore HH and his misguided and divisive supporters even if they call you ‘outgoing’, fraudulent’ ‘illegal’, etc, president. Just love them anyway as Christ implored us to love our enemies. I always pray for them not to prolong their mourning period as it is not good for anyone, including themselves. I believe they’ll pull through the their shock because 2021 is not far and they don’t want to mourn all the way into the next election shock; which would mean 10 years of bitterness added to the past years of bitterness already endured! Awe yalikosa kwena that’s why we must not be too hard on HH mwe bantu.

  21. Whenever I hear the words “free and fair election”coming out of LUNGU’s mouth, I close my nose becoz it’s like he’s FARTING a chisushi, pwipwipweee.

For him to corrupt ECZ, ZAF, POLICE is one thing. For him to corrupt the JUDICIARY is going too far.

As OBAMA said in his speech on his last visit to Africa: “Africa does not need strongmen. Africa needs strong institutions”. Look at what happened to Zambia, look at Kabila in DRC, Mugabe in Zimbabwe, Ali Bongo in Gabon, Zuma in RSA, Bizimungu in Burundi, Kagame in Rwanda etc. the opposite is happening

If u worship LUNGU as a small god please Dislike my comment.

  22. The biggest danger any country could face is a deluded leader. Does ECL live in cloud cuckoo land? What free and fair elections when his own appointees at Constitutional court found a case for abuse of office during the campaign period. Are dealing here with Bokassa or what? ECL has to respect the intelligence of Zambians. We all know how much the system has beef weighted against opponents!

  23. The guilty are always afraid. Who asked him to defend himself whether the election were free and fair. What was the purpose of this meeting by the way?

  24. Hiding behind the UN meeting to purvey falsehood – he knows there is no time to take him to task to verify what he is hallucinating about. Besides, I wonder whether talking about the elections and what he ‘wants’ to do economically in Zambia was part of the theme of the UN meeting.
What hypocrisy, though! The bender of rules, the manipulator, the persecutor – going to address some seasoned leaders about ‘fair and free’ – about ‘Democracy’, which he knows nothing about.
Anyway, waiting to see him get back and get down to informing us about his government’s plans in the next five years. That should be interesting – because that will require REAL WORK!

  25. ANGER BREEDS ANGER + MORE ANGER

WHILE HAPPINESS WILL BREED MORE HAPPINESS. WHAT ARE YOU GROWING IN YOUR GARDEN?

REMEMBER HAPPINESS IS AN INSIDE JOB. IF YOU ARE WAITING FOR A POLITICIAN ( HH, GBM, ECL, TRUMP, CLINTON OR OBAMA) TO BRING HAPPINESS TO YOU, THEN AM SORRY YOU WILL BE EXTREMELY DISSAPPOINTED.

WORK, WORK, WORK, WORK AND BE HAPPY

  26. Can someone talk to these bitter souls that the ozone layer is getting depleted at faster rate due to their anger and bitterness.

  27. This ***** called hh every time he loses elections ati my votes were stolen. We had 14days to represent your evidence, which you failed. We wanted the evidence mind you court cases are about that. The millions of dollars you borrowed hahaha the owners are on your ass….Please don’t drink doom
Just come up with a repayment plan.

  28. Ba President be truthful with yourself stolen elections and you are saying free and fair and you claim to be a christian, shame on you.

  29. Because of being guilty of having stolen the election, even the dove protested, couldn’t fly because of illegal inauguration.

  30. People who reap where they did not sow always pay a price the miners silent tears have come back to haunt him. He called them names forgetting he will need them in times like this sorry I can see his tears again in 2021.May the good lord bless and protect my President ECL. Let no weapon forged against him prosper let all evil words from disgruntled UPND supporters go back sender in Jesus’s name.

  31. TWALAMIMONA UNO MWAKA MUKALATANTAMINA UBUNGA KWA LUNGU. I HAVE KEPT MY MAIZE AND WE HAVE VOWED THIS TIME NEVER TO GIVE OUR MAIZE TO FRA. AM URGING THE MILLERS TO BUY MAIZE FROM FARMERS AND USE IT AS A WIPE FOR THE PF CADRES. PF WILL EAT FROM FRA. IFWEKUMUSHI NATUSUNGA AMATABA LEAT AKWETE 20X50KG BAGS.
FERTILIZER K350 NA K400/50KG SEED YO NI K300/10KG WHERE IS LUNGU TAKING THIS COUNTRY?

  32. I can not believe how dull some people are in your country. All we’ve seen is a man who is pretending to be a democrat. If he had won with 50+1 as his Party claims, why did he ensure that the petition was not heard by the Concourt? If he had nothing to hide, he would have stepped aside and let the law take its course.
All those supporting this man are either benefitting from his spoils of corruption or simply stupid. If you think that HH lost the elections then why didn’t want him to prove his case in courts?
Personally, I think HH is the right man for the job. He also had a vision for the country and I know that more than 2 million people voted for HH. The ECZ stole some of the votes from HH to add to ECL’s votes and then threw some away as spoiled ballots! Most of us (with brains…

    • Staying up at midnight to puke such rubb.ish!

Alright then, you can have your ten-point plan hero as YOUR president.

      Happy now?
