     I do not support UPND, but clearly if those non payment of your Rentals have suggested you became impatient to think the earliest you could have a formal job is 2021.

     Instead of being a big fish in UPND, you will now be a nobody in PF , who will obtusely give you a job anyway same as they will accommodate Sampa.

   • Dr Canissius’s antics of late have been unbecoming. And any right thinking organisation would reprimand him to save the integrity and reputation thereof. To imbibe himself as the ultimate intellectual in the UPND ranks and files beats the very wisdom that he callously tried to advance.
     I know the PF is feasting on this menu but be rest assured that this too will pass as the UPND has managed to move out of such situations before. Suffice to say DR Canissius is playing right into the enemy net and unfortunately he knows what he is doing. The onus is on the UPND to intelligently and smartly reduce the effects of this fiasco on their political fortunes.

   • The statements arributed to the UPND vice president in the post are shocking to say the least the language was uncouth and not befitting the role he represents. If he infact did give the said interviews to the daily nation and write those words on Facebook then GOD forbid! This man is highly toxic. To think that he even quotes the bible amidst his insults beggars belief. It would serve him well to shut up henceforth!

   • @James Buga I too was shocked by what I read in the Post. I was even more shocked when I read that the paper actually verified the FB posting with him and he confirmed that he wrote it. Something very strange is going on with him.

2. C. Banda now you have entered real politics where politics of the belly takes precedent. Look out for those close to you and same close to HH. They might be giving him the data that you are sharing with them. Open your eyes before it is too late.

3. UPND and its leaders must never wash dirty linen in public. They should also like PF realize that having different political views and belonging to different political parties does not mean we are enemies and must never say hello. Canisius has friends he worked with in the past whom are now in different political parties and surely you do not expect these folks to treat each other like enemies. Remember politics have no permanent enemies, let us just differ on governance issues and policies but remain friends and embrace one another. Dr. CB has indeed been a loyal servant of UPND and deserves some respects. Or are we now believing everything written in the papers regardless of the authors or medium?

     You may have a point but only to some extent. But in this case of CB, you don’t even have to look very far. Canisius himself is doing the writing – look at his facebook insults published by the Post!!
     While his colleagues were busy and staying up all night at the ConCourt, Canisius was cossing up with and entertaining Richard Sakala and his Daily Nation with unauthorised personal interviews even suggesting conventions which the Party had not even discussed! We all know that Richard Sakala is Edgar Lungu’s friend and would use information from Canisius to harm the UPND. Let Canisius go if that is what he wants – you cant beg a person. It is good that HH is showing leadership here.

4. In Zambia if a politican is suspected of double dealing…its always 90% true as most have no intergrity…nothing suprises me anymore. Look at Mutati was frustrating Mumba just to appease the Ruling Party and was rewarded with a ministry.

5. My brother Canisius, you may recall what you said when GBM said that UPND would go for a revolution! Your comment to that blatantly and unthoughtful words by GBM meant a lot to some body in your party who cannot see beyond his/her nose. What your party was expecting from you was to say a revolution was the right way to go! But since you are an intellectual and see thing far beyond the nose, those words have brought about all the mad that has been thrown on you! My word of advise is that you were NOT born with a tag of UPND, you future is bright even if you left UPND today. Mind you better things are ahead of you. Better be alone than in an ill company! 6. I think the Doctor should just take it easy , look your party UPND has clearly grown , it has moved from 18 MPs to 58 ,this translate it into 222%. 9. Dr Banda’s real punishment is for dabbling with ‘Dark’ minded people. HH is a user, and Dr Banda is not useful to him now and has become expendable. For a long time he has been bypassed, treated like a lackey. How can an intelligent man believe such a person like HH would uphold them and show gratitude and loyalty? This whole scenario is unhealthy. Dr Banda is a highly intelligent man and has been playing the matador to the raging bull by holding a red rag in front of HH the bull. There is only one winner in such a case; either the bull charges, makes contact and injures or kills the matador or the matador skilfully manipulates the bull, spears it causing injury or makes it Barbeque in victory. 10. The disciplinary/ suspension is to dishearten him, lower him, and finish him before the eyes of the public. His big sin is to want to ascend to Leadership…..and abusing Banda for that is not right.

    The fourth way is to stand tall and finish HH, BY SUING HIM IN ALL THE COURTS including in Salousis’ baby Cot!! Just give him some of his own medicine in bad publicity!!

13. Tongas generally are bad managers. They are always suspicious and jealousy of their subordinates for fear that hey may surpass them. Incompetency,gossip and mistrust is the food they feed on .HH is scared of the Doc.

15. It is wrong to demonize a whole tribe based on the actions of certain individuals. What we have to realize is that all parties are made up of people of all tribes. A political leader’s poor leadership skills should not be blamed on an entire tribe. Tribe is not a qualification.

    It is just sad that certain people use tribe to try and make political mileage out of every issue. No one chooses to be born into this or that tribe. Those who look down on others based on which tribe they belong too are dull. I don’t care whether you belong to PF or UPND, if you play the tribal card, you are dull.

    HH has done noting wrong. Think of it this way. Dr CB has been behaving like “My Own Boss”. he knew from the very beginning that he did not believe in UPND, just like Nervous knows. He panned it this way, to show relevance and self importance. If HH is funny, then CB is even funnier. He wants to create the impression that he is being oppressed when in fact not. Cummon CB get a life.

21. I am not a politician and have no interest in being one, but I do take keen interest in politics the world over. When the Doc said what he said, I mentioned that this was not the best that could come from him irrespective of the circumstances. I would have said the same if some in PF made a mistake in that way. Forgot to mention that there were also consequences on my side for blogging on this subject- snoopies!. That aside. He may be weird but, the man is by African political standards decent. What he just needs to learn is that -its not what you say that matters, but how you say it.

22. With disciplinary cases or not Banda has to be sacrifised for GBM because the amended constitution does not support 2 vice presidents, but 1 only. The earlier they re-align their party hierarchy the better the chances of unity they stand. HH made no mistake by appointing GBM as his vice because he had reasons & strategy for that. The only mistake he made was failure to respect the amended constitution which he himself relies on very much by appointing 2 vice presidents & this has raised unnecessary competition & frustration. HH just withdraw the suspension & institute friendly restructuring of the party & everyone will be happy. If as a leader you make a mistake, just apologise & correct that mistake & move on as Jacob Zuma does. You can as well reconsider Banda since the strategy with…

    I am at a loss of words, to see people still hero-worshipping a loser. All said and done, The Party should just go for Convention and elect new leadership. I have always advised that the sooner our party leaves social media the better because it has cost us dearly for many years. We should have been in power but we are online centred and that eats into our intelligence strength. How do we pull out of the quagmire if we do not go for a Convention? I am not surprised of the latest developments taking place in UPND/ After a defeat to PF instead sitting around the table to review their performance in the last general elections they are busy undoing each other. Last year it was the same after losing a by election in January 2015 the UPND went for Richard Kapita’s throat and the man was sidelined and had no option but to leave and join PF and today he is a Provincial Minister. UPND should devise tactics of sobering up otherwise it will end up being a shell of itself. If I were Dr. Banda I would have called it quits. Its like the whole blame of losing the election was caused by him alone.

28. The language Dr Banda chose to use on his Facebook account against UPND left me flabbergasted. He used the language of what we used to call mishanga sellers’ language. Dr Banda confirmed that he was one of those misfits and one wonders why a medical doctor is behaving the way he does. He is not the only person in the opposition who has friends in PF, the issue of rent and now looking for HIV drugs at state House. He castigated HH for circulating the letter before giving it to him, asking him to exculpate himself. He should have waited for the said letter to see the contents before going to the press. If HH hadn’t written the letter to Dr Banda, we would not have known that Dr Banda was an unintelligent person, I am afraid this letter has exposed his folly. silence is golden Dr Banda…

We told him that there is nothing for you in that party, that you are just being used as a cleaning agent to remove the stench of regionalism, and he chose to close both his eyes and ears, maybe even his nose for he would have smelt the stench which all of us smelt.     But next one to be pushed out will be HH. If this does not happen, then UPND will remain only on paper, never to have any meaningful following apart from Southern Province.

    Support will dwindle in Central, then Western, followed by Northwestern respectively.

    The gains made in Eastern, Northern, Luapula, and Muchinga will shrink down significantly.

    The only thing HH will hold on to is the prestigious feeling that he is president of a ‘party’;

    Take note: the word party above is in quotes because it shall no long be a party but a mere fictitious one whose philosophy shall be ‘I win I accept, l lose I don’t accept’.
