The South Korean government has donated office equipment to the Zambian government worth US $100, 000.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Harry Kalaba received the donation on behalf of the Zambian government at the handover ceremony at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs offices in Lusaka.

Among the donated equipment are printers, projectors, computers, switch boards, shredders and work stations.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed government’s gratitude to the South Korean government for the support it has been rendering to Zambia.

ZANIS reports that Mr. Kalaba stated that South Korea has been supporting Zambia in various sectors that include training, infrastructure development, agriculture, trade and investment among others.

And South Korean Ambassador to Zambia Youngkyu Kwon who handed over the equipment on behalf of his government praised Zambia for the continued cooperation.

Mr. Kwon hailed the strengthened bilateral ties existing between South Korea and Zambia adding that he looks forward to continued ties between the two nations.

Zambia and South Korea in June signed a memorandum of understanding concerning a loan from the Economic Cooperation Development Fund of South Korea for the establishment of Public Safety Information System Project in Zambia.

    • @ISIS.zm dont worry HK will only take 4 computers, 2 laptops and 4 printers! 1 laptop to be used by HK, wife and children! When will they use them? They look rich when you display all in the house! What about others? SHHHHH……..

  1. Why are you donating to Lazy Lungu who wastes $100k like its loose charge…this is bum who charters a private jet for 7 days.No shame at all!!

  2. How I wish this donation went to schools to promote computer subjects! Atlas some schools could have benefitted. Are the donors not even surprised that we have misplaced priorities?

  3. Thank you South Korea. but what a shame that a country which had the same economy like Zambia is a powerhouse and now is reduced to handouts.
