Chiyangi insists Nkana still in the league race

Share

Coach Aggrey Chiyangi has insisted that Nkana are still in the race to win the FAZ Super Division title despite their recent stuttering form.

Second placed Nkana who have 54 points from 28 matches have picked four points from their last three matches.

Nkana are seven points behind leaders Zanaco who also have two un-played matches.

“It is not yet over, we still have many games to play. We have to continue fighting despite dropping points because other teams can also drop points,” Chiyangi said.

He said it was regrettable that Nkana have dropped many points in recent matches.

Nkana on Sunday drew 2-2 at Mufulira Wanderers a week after losing 1-0 to Green Buffaloes in Kitwe.

“Our players must understand how important all games are. Dropping points has made us go backward,” Chiyangi said.

Nkana are remaining with six games in the current league campaign.
