Kitwe United aim to topple Blades in promotion race

Share

Kitwe United on Wednesday visits Ndola to face Gomes Wanderers at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium with the hope of displacing Konkola Blades from the top of the FAZ Division Zone Two table.

Kitwe “Chingalika” and Gomes clash in a delayed Week 27 midweek encounter.

The Buchi Boys are second on the table with 52 points, two behind leaders Konkola, who have played a game more.

Beside this rescheduled match, three more rounds of matches are left to play in Zone Two.

Kitwe must be at their best to overcome Gomes who thrashed them 2-0 in the reverse fixture at Garden Park earlier in the season.

The visitors coach Ernest Koffi is praying that his dependable players Emmanuel Chabula and Chileshe Musonda will have a good day at the office.

Meanwhile, Gomes coach Albert Kachinga is expected to parade his usual experienced players led by top striker Clarence Berrington “Junior”.
