Police in Mpika district of Muchinga Province have arrested an employee of the department of National Parks and Wildlife for allegedly stealing more than K82, 000.

Mr. Busuma Sombe, 24, an accountant under the department National Parks and Wildlife, is alleged to have stolen about K82, 000 from Bangweulu Management account in Mpika district.

Sombe was arrested for theft by public servant contrary to the laws of Zambia.

Muchinga Province Police Commissioner Auxensio Daka confirmed the development to Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS) in Mpika district on Monday

Mr. Daka explained that the alleged theft took place between 1st August 2016 and 11th October 2016 at Mpika wildlife offices.
He, however, did not reveal detailed information on the alleged theft saying it may jeopardise police investigations.

    • @Buck Teeth Lungu that’s why tribalism is evil, Sombe is not a Bemba name, their Kaondes and Lamba who Sombes. Theft has nothing to do with tribe, so all you have said is rubbish.

HH who has stolen colossal sums of money through privatisation of RAMCOZ is not Bemba.
