Nkana striker Walter Bwalya says he is not surprised to be nominated for the 2016 Zambian Footballer of the Year Award.

Bwalya has been nominated against Zanaco captain Ziyo Tembo and Zesco United midfielder Misheck Chaila.

The robust striker was the top scorer in the ended FAZ Super Division season with 24 goals.

“I am so happy to be nominated. I worked hard this year. I am not surprised to be on that list,” Bwalya said.

He is confident of winning the award.

“I am sure I will get it but let’s wait and see,” Bwalya said.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for Lusaka’s Hotel InterContinental on December 20.
