President Edgar Lungu is today expected in Chipata, Eastern Province on a two-day working visit.
According to a programme made available to ZANIS by the Provincial Administration in Chipata, President Lungu is scheduled to arrive in Chipata at 11:00 hours and thereafter pay a courtesy call on Paramount Chief Mpezeni at his palace.
President Lungu is later expected to fly to Lundazi district where he will inspect the district hospital still under construction, and check on the fields that have been affected by army worms.
While in Lundazi the Head of State will also hold meetings with traditional leaders and party officials.
Mr Lungu is also expected to hold meetings with Agro dealers and bank managers in Chipata district.
Meanwhile, President Lungu will on Sunday attend a church service in Chipata before flying to Katete district, where he is scheduled to inspect the Katete dam, which supplies water to the people in the district.
And the President will finally hold discussions with Chipata based Bishops before meeting party officials, as he concludes his visit to the Province.
