In this next chapter following the 2014 hit, legendary hitman John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is forced back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers.

  • Incredible action scenes.
  • Excellent performance by the entire cast.
  • Interesting Storyline

  • The movie is, at times, too fast paced that it does not give the viewer a chance to process what is happening.

The Bowery King: John Wick, you’re not very good at retiring.

John Wick: I’m working on it.

The Bowery King: He’s offered seven million dollars for your life. seven million dollars is a lot of money, Mr. Wick.

John Wick: So I guess you have a choice. Do you want a war or do you want to just give me a gun?

The Bowery King: Somebody please get this man a gun!

More often than not, sequels to highly rated movies fail to live up to the expectation of the audience. This is not the case with John Wick 2. I can be as bold as to say that this sequel is better than the first film. Keanu Reeves gave a splendid performance of a man who wants to leave a life full of violence but keeps getting pulled back in.

John Wick 2 is filled with high octane action scenes, but it is not all blood and bullets. The movie also has a great, nail biting, story line. Even if you have not watched the first film, following this one will not be a problem.

I’m hopeful that this continues on to be a great franchise!
