Sports Zesco get modest Confed Cup draw

Zesco United have been handed debut dates in the group stage of the 2017 Confederation Cup.

Zesco have been drawn against Smouha of Egypt, RC Libolo from Angola and group stage debutants Al Hilal Obied of Sudan.

Zesco will host the Egyptians on May 13 before heading to Sudan on May 23 to face Obeid.

They will hosts Libolo on June 3 and make their first continental trip to Angola on June 21.

Zesco will later visit Alexandria on July 1 to play Smouha will before hosting Obeid on July 9 in Ndola.

The top two from Group C will face the top two finishers from Group D in September’s quarterfinals.

Group D comprises of Confederation Cup defending champions TP Mazembe, CF Mounana of Gabon, their 2015 Champions League nemeis Guinea club Horoya and South African side SuperSport United.
