Share

Beston Chambeshi has named his final 21-member team for the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup finals in south Korea.

Missing from the trip to South Korea are four players who have been with the team since August and through Zambia’s victories at the 2016 COSAFA Cup and 2017 U20 AFCON.

Dropped are midfielders Crispin Sakulanda and Sydney Phiri or Mufulira Wanderers plus Mumba Mwape of Spanish club Getafe.

Red Arrows striker Joseph Phiri has also been dropped.

But Lusaka Dynamos striker Conlyde Luchanga has kept his place despite his poor showing at the U20 AFCON.

One of the new faces in the team include Israeli-based midfielder Ngosa Sunz, Forest Rangers defender Boston Muchindu and Musonda Siame from Kafue Celtic.

Meanwhile, Zambia leave for a fortnight camp in Spain on Friday evening en route to Jeju where they will play their Group C matches.

Iran, Costa Rica and Portugal are their Group C opponents at the tournament South Korea is hosting from May 20 to June 11.
