Chambeshi sweats on Patson Daka injury

Share

Beston Chambeshi is an anxious wait to know whether striker Patson Daka will recover in time to face Iran on Wednesday in Zambia’s penultimate Group C match at the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup in Jeju , South Korea..

Daka sustained a facial injury in the 40th minute of Zambia’s 2-1 win over Portugal on Sunday in Jeju and was replaced by Emmanuel Banda.

“As you know, Patson is a key player in the team. Even Portugal knew him, They were on him and I can’t say if it was a deliberate injury but that is how football is,” Chambeshi said.

“But I hope and trust my medics will work on him so that we move as a team.”

Meanwhile, Iran are second behind Zambia and also on 3 points after beating Costa Rica 1-0 in the second Group C kickoff in Jeju on Sunday.

Victory for Zambia on Wednesday’s game will see them through to the last 16.

    • Headline:”Chambeshi Sweats on Patson Daka’s Injury” My question is: Is this headline in English or in Bemba?

  1. SHOT PUT hahah..this is in bemba mixed with TONGA. Its not strange because english language for footballers is a big challenge so the journalist had to write as it was said. PATSON DAKA IS NOT A FACTOR IN THE TEAM STOP CHEATING US , HOW CAN A BOY WHO PLAYS IN AUSTRIA ..A COUNTRY THAT DONT EVEN KNOW RULES OF FOOTBALL BE A FACTOR. THE BIGEST FACTOR THE COACH HE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BY HERVE RENARD ASAP FOR US TO GO FAR

  2. Under 20 is performing very well because the coach is fair in player selection as opposed to the previous regime.

  3. My worry is in defence they gave portugal space to shoot only to be saved by their inaccuracy on goal.but in front perfect. Let us imploy difence displine .

  4. Ba Chambeshi mwabombeni mukwai pa kufunda aba abanabesu ukulateya bola nko tupata. Good boys, keep on praying- God will take you where you want to be in Jesus Name. Continue being humble as always. continue respecting your parents. baiche muli bakali zo ona.
