Kabwe Warriors finally win in 2017 season

Kabwe Warriors on Wednesday won their first league game of the 2017 FAZ Super Division season.

Warriors beat Nchanga Rangers 3-0 at home in Kabwe to end an agonizing 10-match drought in which they had picked up 8 draws and 2 defeats.

Jacob Phiri put Warriors ahead in the 20th minute and Lameck Kafwaya scored his first of two goals in 41st minute.

Kafwaya completed his brace in the 65th minute to give the crowd at Godfrey ‘Ucar’ Chitalu something to smile about.

Warriors join Nchanga on 12 points and knocking them off from 13th place on goal difference.

And Red Arrows are 4th on 18 points after a 2-0 home win over Buildcon at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.

Shadreck Malambo put Arrows ahead in the 55th minute and Lottie Nyimbili sealed the win in the 86th minute.

In Choma, Green Eagles and Nkwazi shared the spoils after a 1-1 draw.

Michael Bwalya put Nkwazi ahead in the 3rd minute but Spencer Sautu equalized in the 88th minute.

And in Ndola, Zesco United moved to second place after a 1-0 home win over promoted and second from bottom Real Nakonde.

Idris Mbombo scored in the 27th minute to send Zesco to 19 points and move one point behind leaders Lusaka Dynamos.

Defending champions Zanaco play Green Buffaloes in Lusaka.
