Munthali linked with Cape Town City FC

Nkana and Zambia defender Christopher Munthali has been linked with a move to South African Premier Soccer League side Cape Town City.

City coached by Benni McCarthy are reported to be pursing centre-back Munthali.

Sources close to the proposed deal say City have already contacted Nkana over Munthali but the club is yet to comment on the matter.

His two-year contract at the Wusakile club expires in six-months time.

Munthali, 27, rejoined Nkana from Power Dynamos last year.

He is currently battling for match fitness after recovering from a lengthy injury that sidelined him for over six months.

Munthali has previously been linked to South African sides Kaiser Chiefs and Martizburg United.
