Zesco United open slender lead

Zesco United kept a slender margin at the top of the 2017 FAZ Super Division table after a 1-0 away win over Nchanga Rangers on Sunday at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe.

Zesco crawl from 38 to 41 points and are now two points ahead Lusaka Dynamos who jumped from 5th to 2nd on the same date after rallying to beat hosts Buildcon in Ndola.

Zesco secured their win in the 12th minute courtesy of a goal from striker Jackson Mwanza.

The win came just four days after Zesco failed to extend their lead when they lost 2-1 at home to Dynamos in Ndola.

Mwansa Nsofwa and Chris Mugalu scored in the 49th and 86th minutes respectively to see Dynamos rally and claim the 3 points after Geoffrey Sserunkuma put 10th placed Buildcon ahead in the 7th minute.

Dynamos are two points head of Power Dynamos who drop to 3rd place 3rd place after their namesakes victory on Sunday.
