Mulenga calls for unity among Zambians

Share

Kalulushi Constituency Member of Parliament Kampamba Mulenga says Zambians need to unite and work together if the country is to develop.

Ms Mulenga, who is also Information and Broadcasting Services Minister, said it was easy for people to achieve their goals when they come together and work as a team.

Speaking at the commissioning of a 213 thousand kwacha car park at Saint Michael’s Catholic Parish in Kalulushi, Ms Mulenga, who is also chief government spokesperson,  called on Zambians to unite and supplement government effort to develop the nation.

However, Saint Michael Parish Priest Nicholas Mubanga  appealed to government to raise standards professionalism in public health facilities.

He has urged medical personnel to be friendly to patients as some people had opted to shun visiting health facilities whenever they fell un-well  as they feared being victimized by health personals at the facilities.

  1. There can never be unity when Zambian society is polarized. On one side there’s a vicious, unfeeling, cruel bandit president and his criminal minions focused only on enriching themselves, while on the other there are the long suffering masses who have never, or will likely ever see any development in their lifetimes. Ask the president and his capos to explain his and their sudden and exponentially exploding wealth to the people of Zambia.

    • Wrong, let me elaborate on the polarisation: one side (the 6.5) a legitimate, humble and hardworking president who is connected to the grassroot and delivering development and an enabling business environment and economy for the hardworking to exploit. The other side (the 3.5) is a bitter, hateful plunderer who benefitted massively from privatisation. His claim to this leadership is based on tribalism, prejudice and pure hate for the leader of the 6.5. This polarisation is what will characterise the 2021 elections and beyond until the vile leader of the 3.5 is moved on. Suffering is for the lazy!!!

    • Zambians have always been united. Kaunda made sure of that.

“One Zambia, one nation”. That worked fine, still does. That is why we inter marry.

The problem is is that the politicians are causing divisions, in a bid to create a smoke screen as they enrich themselves senseless. They think that if people are fighting among themselves, they will not notice their corrupt practices and inadequacies.

I can tell you now, this will no longer happen.

No amount of rigging will save Jonathan and his cadre crew in 2021.

God bless our beautiful country. And may God punish those that steal and lie to our people.

    • @Indigo: It’s not about blindness, it’s about seeing reality for what it is. You don’t have to be a cadre to see the falsehoods and lies the opposition is trying to peddle in the country: YOU WANT ME TO ACCEPT AND BELIEVE EVERYTHING THEY THROW AT US??? Remember the dictatorship story?? If you believed that then you are as useless as those who propagated it. This is the new wave of attack now, CORRUPTION, like what they did to FTJ and RB!!!!

    • @Zambia Citizen, so you think there is no corruption in this government?

Do you think this PF government is managing resources well?

Do you think people have more money in their pockets?

Do you think its ok for Lungu to be travelling abroad as frequenctly as he does? Or supress those that disagree with him?

If your answer is YES, then you are a hardened cadre my friend…and you know it. All I can say is enjoy your time now.

BTW, I do not support HH either, or any politician in zed.

I am simply concerned about your children’s future. My children are NOT Zambians, I do not live in zed, and my passport in NOT Zambian. I was born in zed, and would like to return one day, that is my concern.

Stay well my brother (or sister).

    • These are the products of corruption……people who want to dupe the masses about development when it is all borrowed money they are using while enriching them selves….that is why non of their leadership comes out against corruption.

    • @Zambian Citizen,
After 1 year in power, you are still giving the same lame and stupi.d excuses implicating the opposition. Who is in power? who controls the resources? Who is boma ni boma?
I am sure even after 5years, you will be singing the same song. I hope JK is already putting together a new version of Dununa Reverse.

    • @Indigo: There is corruption in both private and public sectors. But the method we use to combat it is what i feel is wrong. We wasted 10 years or so with Mwanawasa but ZP, ACC, DEC etc didn’t improve @Indigo: There is corruption in both private and public sectors. But the method we use to combat it is what i feel is wrong. We wasted 10 years or so with Mwanawasa but ZP, ACC, DEC etc didn’t improve or upgrade, did they??? And here we are going down the same route over again. My take is we need as a nation to concentrate our energies on creating effective crime fighting INSTITUTIONS. Not falling for the same tricks now being pushed by useless politicians like Kambwili. Managing resources?? one example: have you seen the level 1 hospitals in Lusaka in Matero, Kanyama, Chilenje…referrals…

    • …to UTH have already dropped 70%…and you want me to always be negative and cry “corruption” when citizens are already getting medical services closer to them????

  2. Father Nicholas Mubanga, you are so right, it is so disheartening to see, my recent visit to UTH, when I went to seek medical attention for my younger sister, has left a bitter test. Can not believe the lack of Empathy on those paid to looked after the sick, couldn’t believe the want for financial gain. When the political leadership is corrupt, nothing stops the followers to follow suit. We pray that our genuine religious leaders like you will not be intimidated to glorify very corrupt practices but that you will openly call them by rightful names. Wish to see more of this.

    • That useless task force was started in 2002. Even after LPMs death, his vice, RB was persecuted by that hyena Mutembo Nchito all the way through Sata’s presidency who died in 2014. How many years is that, bwana???

  3. we can not be united when the gap between the poor and rich is widening, to much corruption around benefiting politicians and people suffering. am sorry

  4. It’s cheap politicking. You don’t despise others and then expect to dine with them. What is Government doing about the enslavement, torture, pillaging and extortion of substial amounts of money from me in abuse of state machinery, just because I am f male and I am Lozi speaking. You must return Nd make good on restitution for all my stollen belongings and my money which the state is illegally with holding. I didn’t go to the UN to enrich those who cannot and you are happy with me having spent all those years in hardship missions working diligently then you let commoners entice themselves with a Diplomat’s belongings. Are you fooling us. Please give me back all my stollen vehicles and the household goods, the death of my daughter and all my money before you can even speak about Unity.

  5. Zambian citizen, we need an international justice mechanism in Zambia to come and deal with the unacceptable level of corruption. The ACC! DEC and ZP do not have the capacity to deal with the current EMBARASSING corruption in the country. We need help from outside the box. Before this country sinks into a war torn one.
