MultiChoice Zambia has announced the launch of two new local channels Prime TV, a general entertainment channel and Camnet TV a Christian contemporary channel on DStv. Prime TV (channel 273) and Camnet TV (channel 274) will be available on the Premium, Compact +, Compact, Family and Access bouquets from the 11th of October, 2017.

With the launch of these two local content channels, Zambian DStv customers will have access to even more home-grown programming, which is MultiChoice’s key focus and objective.

Committing to this development, MultiChoice Zambia Managing Director Ngoza Kasunga-Matakala said “MultiChoice continues to partner with local TV channels and local content providers as a show of commitment to growing the Zambian film and television sector. This is one of the ways in which we continue to show how we are putting our customers at the heart of everything we do as a business and we will continue to add more value for their viewing pleasure.”

Prime TV Managing Director Gerald Shawa said “We are very excited about this support and partnership we are receiving from DStv through MultiChoice Zambia as it gives Zambian talent and local producers an opportunity to express themselves and grow their potential on a bigger platform. As a station we are committed to ensuring that we provide the best local TV programming possible.”

Some of the programs to look out for on the two TV stations include general entertainment, and Lifestyle programming that includes Music, drama, documentaries, movies, local and foreign News on Prime TV, with Camnet providing a wide range of Christian programming, both local and international.

  1. I hope they won’t give us nonsense like Qtv and CBC, who for lack of programmes revert to international channels like DWtv etc, which are already on dstv. Why should we paying to watch such channels.

  2. This is a good move. It will reduce on the number of top boxes one has to own to watch various TV stations Next will be to bring in Muvi TV ….

  3. DSTV niba rubbish and expensive for nothing. Your programming is full of repeats. Same old films being recycled. You have become useless and belong to the dust bin. Even top star is much better and cheap

  4. Where is the Edgar Changwa Lungu Broadcasting Corporation, is it the former ZNBC ? Somebody told me it’ s now called the PF Propaganda Broadcasting Corporation.
