Shepolopolo face Botswana on Friday

Zambia on Friday afternoon faces Botswana in Gaborone seeking to advance in the 2018 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying campaign.

The Young Shepolopolo lead Botswana 5-2 from the first leg match of the preliminary round played in Lusaka a fortnight ago.

Overall winners between Zambia and Botswana faces South Africa in December in the next round.

“We are game. I have confidence in my team and I know the girls will not disappoint us,” Zambia coach Kaluba Kangwa said.

Skipper Lydia Mubanga, striker Christable Phiri and Thelma Phiri are the notables in the visiting squad.

Zambia are seeking a second appearance at the U-17 Women’s World Cup having made their debut at the 2014 tournament in Cost Rica.
