Government has decided not to renew the employment permit of Pastor Augustine Oso Ebosele of Omega Fire Ministries in Lusaka. This is because the conduct of Pastor EBOSELE has divided the OMEGA Fire Ministries into two parties.

Chief Government Spokesperson Kampamba Mulenga has announced this in Lusaka. Ms Mulenga says it is feared that with the Pastor’s continued stay in the country, the acrimony in Omega Fire Ministries could result into the breakdown and law and order.

She says Pastor Obesele was given 48 hours to leave the country, in accordance with the Immigration and Deportation Act number 18 of 2010. Ms Mulenga also said contrary to speculations, the Government has not closed Omega Fire Ministries and is not against Nigerian Pastors.

She said Omega Fire Ministries Headquarters in Nigeria is free to send a senior pastor to come and help reconcile the membership in Lusaka. Ms Mulenga has called of Omega Fire Ministries members to avoid speculation and remain calm as matters are being dealt with the Church membership.

  1. Great decision. this Pastor are full of themselves and not Christ. how can a Pastor say i have invested a lot and the government want to take my property they are jealous! jealous of who? he has stollen from Zambians.

    • WHERE DID YOU SEE PASTORS INVESTING- THEY SUCK THE LITTLE BLOOOD THE POOR HAVE FOR THEIR OWN ‘BLOOD TRANSFUSION’. CHURCH IN ZAMBIA IS COMPLETELY DESTROYED. CHURCH IN ZAMBIA NEVER USED TO BE FOR ENRICHMENT OF THOSE LITTLE gods KNOWN AS PASTORS. CHURCH IN ZAMBIA USED TO BE A PLACE OF REAL SPIRITUAL SURVIVAL. ONE BIG QUESTION IS- WHY IS ZAMBIA IMPORTING OR HIRING SPIRITUAL EXPERTS, ANYWAY? DON’T WE HAVE OUR OWN. ISN’T SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE IMPORTING IN ORDER TO CREATE OUR OWN ENGINERING BASE?

  2. Ms Mulenga, can we have a way of dealing with this ,honestly chasing away the Nigerian pastor won’t solve the problem that the church is currently facing

  3. Deport also some Chinese kampamba. They are too many and don’t think so all are within the applied number of days. Nakumabala tulesangwa. These Chinese and Islams, we have to be Careful as a nation. Ngatuma Chinese ninshi tulemibosesha apakulu?

  4. African pastors are greedy.imaging having branches all over africa and europe/america extracting so called tithe and offering and other levies.pays no tax and careless to their poor members.

  5. Indians should have their work permits revoked as well. Isn’t it ironic that the government goes to look for investors so that Zambians can get employed but once investors come, Indians start flocking in to come and take up jobs that Zambians can do? Indians come here and get heft salaries at the expense of Zambians which they externalize to grow the Indian economy why the Zambian economy shrinks. We don’t know who gets bribes at ministry of home affairs so that Indians can get work permits but the government should start investigating how this happens. Indians are now becoming a problem in this country. The same applies to South African whites. Mind you, No Zambian can get a job in India. I am talking about Indian job seekers not Investors.

    • I work in RSA on a work permit. There also a lot of Zambian s that work in the UK, USA ,Russia, Italy, Nigeria, Egypt , Zimbabwe , Botswana etc They did have to bribe someone. Zambia needs expatriates as much as other Countries need Zambian expatriates. But I must mention we also get morons like you who automatically think that a foreign is a beggar who only contributes to crime. Don’t blame foreigners for your personal misfortune. Get proper education and contribute to the global economy.

    • Listen to the language of this expatriate Kanyama calling a person who raises genuine concerns as a moron.Clearly education did very little to help this educated kanyama to be civil.If you had cared to read and think through the blogs the complaint is about so called expatriates who do jobs that should be the preserve of the locals.Some chinese sir if you should know today mix concrete “ndaka boys”,others are selling cell phones and even maize on the streets.In view of what i have now brought to your attention can you please withdraw your insult directed to ECL.

    • @Kanyama. You’re a f00l. You must very du1l. I specifically said that a Zambian cannot get a job in India. I did not say that Zambians can not get jobs in all those countries you’re mentioning. For your information I am very educated and have a good job. I just get upset at seeing Zambians without jobs while Indians come here and get jobs that Zambians can do. I am not an economic refugee like you. South Africans will burn you when they get a chance. I remember how I felt when I saw that picture of a woman with her child being burnt by South Africans. What are you doing in SA? Plating hair? You must an 1mbecile for you to fail to understand my simple statements

    • @ truth is bitter.
      Ask those foreigners who come here why they come to Zambia? Our currency maybe weak but why would you leave a better country and go to a worse off country? I hope you’re not an Indian because your English sounds like one. In fact one of the reasons our currency is weak is because of the influx of foreigners like Indians who come here because their country can’t provide for them. My friend recently went there on a business trip and told me that the whole country stinks. He told me that just when you step out of the plane in Mumbai, you’re greeted with stinking air more like you’re in a sewage treatment plant. Bold Indians have confessed similarly.

    • 1ZMK = 1.5 SA Rand
      1ZMK = 1.1 Pula
      1ZMK = 72 Malawian Kwacha
      1ZMK = 34 Naira
      1ZMK = 19 Angolan Kwanza
      etc

  6. The big problem is people of Zambia and poverty not the pastors period, kick out all those called born agains. I don’t see myself to attend church in Zambia it’s full bs. Just build more schools and create blue/ white color jobs for people

  7. I don’t think this blame culture is acceptable , do you not see that this is what has divided our country now ? If it’s not the Tongas , its indians, chinese and the list goes on. You should be putting pressure on those who are governing this country. They need to put a cap on how many immigrants from certain countries they allow into the country. Zambia needs foreign work force just like other countries have allowed Zambians to work in theirs. Irresponsible xenophobic comments may put Zambians abroad in danger too, especially those in south Africa !!!
    It’s the responsibility of Zambia immigration to control how many foreigners they allow at a time, and there is nothing wrong with doing so.

  8. I am not a fun of the ever growing number of faith organisations being formed by dishonest exploitative pastors, but objectively, is the fact that a church has become divided enough reason to deport its pastor? Am I missing something here? In terms of due process, is this a reasonable ground?

  9. Lucky zambians! Come to southern part of Nigeria and weep for us. These so called pastors have turned every available space within the street into business center called church. They have divided many families and feed fat on their divided and rule tricks.

  10. This has to do with church. And church has to do with God. People should be careful on what they say or do. For God is to judge our deeds, words and thoughts. Without churches that preach repentance, forgiveness, armsgiving, where would the world be. God help your church
