Zesco-Arrows game rescheduled due to poor lighting

The Zesco United versus Red Arrows match will be replayed on Thursday after it was called off due to poor lighting at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola on Wednesday night.

The two sides were locked at 0-0 well into the 10th minute of this 19h00 kickoff before a power outage disrupted proceedings for 40 minutes.

Thereafter the match and SuperSport TV official’s agreed that the match will continue at 13h00 on November 23 at the same venue.

Entry will be free and live yet again on SuperSport.

Zesco currently lead the table on 69 points with three games to go.

But Zesco’ s six point lead is now down to two points after 2nd placed Zanaco and 3rd positioned Green Buffaloes won their respective Week 36games.

Zanaco and Buffaloes are tied on67 points but the latter has an inferior goal difference.

However, Zanaco maintained 2nd place after a 3-0 home win over Nkwazi.

Ernest Mbewe, Felix Nyaende and Richard Kasonde were on target in the 63rd, 69th and 83rd minutes respectively.

Buffaloes on the other hand netted through Michael Musonda in the 70th minute.

Elsewhere, Nkana stayed 4th after a 1-0home win over Green Eagles courtesy of a Jacob Ngulube goal in the 69th minute in a match that saw the visitors two goals both disallowed in the first and second half while Nkana were also denied one in the second period.

And struggling Power Dynamos won their first league game in over a month when they beat Lumwana Radiants 1-0 away in Lumwana.

Alex Ng’onga scored the game’s lone goal in the 65th minute.

But Mighty Mufulira Wanderers battle for survival was dealt a dent when fourth from bottom Nchanga Rangers rallied to beat them 2-1.
