Zambia make marginal gains on the FIFA Rankings

Zambia have moved one spot up the final FIFA Rankings for the year ending 2017.

Chipolopolo moved from 75 to 74 on the latest FIFA Rankings released on December 21 by the World footballs governing body.

And Zambia are 15th on the CAF rankings.

Chipolopolo are one spot ahead of their 2018 CHAN Group B opponents Uganda while Bafana Bafana South Africa are at number 81.

Some notable teams ahead of Zambia on the rankings are Mali at number 72 and Cape Verde at number 67.

The CAF top 10 on the overall FIFA Rankings is composed of Senegal (23), Tunisia (27), Egypt (31), DR Congo (39), Morocco(40), Burkina Faso (44), Cameroon (45), Ghana (50) and Nigeria (51).

Algeria and Cote d’Ivoire are at number 58 and 61 respectively and round-off the CAF top 10.
