Patriotic Front National Chairperson for women Jean Kapata has challenged former Ministers accusing government of being corrupt to leave the PF.

Ms. Kapata has wondered why former Minister of Foreign Affairs Harry Kalaba and former Minister of Information Chishimba Kambwili are still holding on to the party yet are busy accusing its leaders of being corrupt.

Addressing women officials in Nchelenge District in Luapula Province, Ms. Kapata said women in the district should rise and defend the PF.

She has warned those leaving the party to refrain from issuing corruption allegations without evidence, saying the party is bigger than them.

Ms. Kapata has commended former Matero MP, Miles Sampa who recently rejoined the party for being man enough to accept his wrongs and advising others not to leave the PF because politics in the opposition is hard.

And Ms. Kapata said President Edgar Lungu is the sole candidate for the 2021 elections because he is easy to market.

She says a PF presidential candidate for 2026 will be chosen by President LUNGU from among his Ministers or party without any talk because he has the right to choose whoever he wants.

Meanwhile Ms. Kapata says no province should be requesting for the presidency, stating that selection is entirely for the president.

She has called on women in the PF to continue supporting party decisions and the Head of State.

And Ms. Kapata has reiterated the party’s commitment to empower women with various businesses.

And PF Deputy National Chairperson Susan Kawandami urged women in the party to support each other.

Ms. Kawandami has also called on women to ensure they defend the PF in Nchelenge.

  1. Politicizing the corruption fight is the 1st step to losing the war on graft. In fact you should be able to raise issues of corruption and still be treated with utmost respect within the party.

  2. Even before concourt decision she is saying ecl will run in 2021 and be elected. Wonder how she kniws already.
Is she not pressuring the judiciary mr lubinda

  3. Ba Jean, your party is done and you cannot afford to lose more members. It is like throwing out the oarsmen, who is going to paddle your sinking ship? the PF is in a comma right now just waiting for the life support to be switched off.

  4. Fielding ECL will be a mistake. People are really struggling on the ground. ECL not providing leadership. He will be a liability by 2021.

    • He is a liability TO THE WHOLE NATION RIGHT NOW!

By 2012, Edgar Cholera Lungu and his crooked Ministers like this Jean Mukula will have stolen every thing there is to steal and Zambian will only be left with massive DEBTS to repay.

So what is this Kapata saying? PF is a Party only for corrupt crooks and criminals? If anyone is honest she does not want to share thestolem money and secrets with them?

  5. When Lubinda resigns soon, ECL will remain with Kapata,Sikazwe,Sumaili,Kampyongo,Kalima,Siliya,Kazila,Lusambo and the like. What a Cabinet! The only thing attractive in this Cabinet is incompetence, greed and corruption. This country is half a metre away from SH*THOLE STATUS.

  6. See who is talking Jean kapata u have failed to deliver in your constituency so keep quite u have failed to bring order in your home mandevu

  7. I thought the next President of the party is supposed to be chosen by the general conference, and not the sitting President. Let us enhance democracy by following the party constitution.

  8. Does it mean if one has a different opinion then they must leave the party….even in a marriage, people differ BUT it does not me they divorce right there and then….Remember that Zambia is a Christian Nation so whatever you say God will answer you with a party without members…

  9. The honourable minister needs to be reminded that we are no longer under one party participatory democracy synonymous with “sole presidential candidate “. Besides, the concourt is yet to rule on the eligibility of the president to stand again. Those former ministers were elected first by their constituencies, then appointed later by the president. If the president drops you as cabinet minister, does it mean you have to resign from the party? No. Similarly, if you resign as minister on moral grounds, does it mean you also resign from the party? Totally no. Forcing people out of the party simply for having a different opinion is not being democratic, it’s rather dictatorial , draconian and very retarded. My opinion exactly.

  10. JEAN KAPATA.
WHY IS IT A PROBEM FOR YOU IN PF WHEN SOMEONE MENTION THE WORD CORRUPTION?
WE HAVE GOT EARS AND EYES TO SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING IN YOUR GOVT AND WE DON’T NEED KAMBWILI,KALABA OR MULUSA TO TELL US THAT THERE IS CORRUPTION IN YOUR GOVT.
I HAVE PERSONALLY BEEN VOTING FOR PF SINCE 2006 AND FOR 2021,I REALLY DOUBT IF I WILLDO SO.
YOUR GOVT HAS FAILED TO GIVE CLEAR EXPLAINATION AS TO WHY THE STATE HOUSE VEHICLES ESCORTED MUKULA TREE THAT WAS IMPOUNDED IN KAFUE.
WE HAVE TALKED OF THE FIRE TENDER THAT COSTS $ 300.000 BUT YOU BOUGHT THEM AT $ 1,000,000.00 EACH.
    TALK OF THE AMBULANCES.
AS AT NOW THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RUPIAH BANDA GOVT OF 2015 AND PF OF TODAY.
I WISH YOU COULD HEAR FROM YOUR OWN EARS WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT PF NOW.

  11. They don’t want to be jobless and lose gratuities .By the way how is is gratuity for MPs ? It’s a career for them and make money .I wouldn’t resign either.Atleast they are intelligent .use the poor people and get into office and make money for your self, family and friends .who went into politics to serve the poor? Unless crazy.

  12. Awe ba Jean. Those who are corrupt are the ones who should leave the party. Why should you fail to investigate corruption charges and instead want those who demand sanity to leave?Awe cino ichalo cesu bonse. Ukulila abanenu masuku pamitwe twakana.

  13. People should not take offence when corruption is mentioned. The guilt are always afraid. The wing changed with responsibility of dealing corrupt people have gone to sleep.
