  1. It looks like all Cabinet Ministers are in China including that silly Mines Minister …no wonder this dwarf Stephen Kampyongo is all over the place. How can you have Home Affairs Minister and PF Youth Chairman all in one …imagine if the IG wanted to have a sit down with Heads of Party Youth wings to talk about curbing political violence.

    • No matter what you say or think, Kampyongo is our and the country Home affairs Minister, we just need to accept and support him. Let us learn to support and pray for all our Leaders including our opposition.

  2. “Mr. Kampyongo said the experts will be carrying out special safety assessments every day before any mining activity is carried out to protect human life.” So who will be paying those safety experts to carrying everyday inspection on the Jerabo mining activities? Using taxpayers money or what? Will you extend that safety risk assessment to the fishermen who drown on the lakes/ rivers especially the Bemba chaps who like kusefya pa ng’wena ….

  3. They promise 500, 000 jobs instead they give the unemployed a death trap, black mountain.

They promise marketers more money in there pockets , they give them bribes ati empowerment funds then leave them trading in fire hazards…

    • I am glad one guy will NEVER have even an opportunity to create one job in the capacity President Lungu is, except in Panama. However, he can keep on Hallucinationg with his HaLosers Horganisation. It is fine.

  4. Such are the things like Black Mountain that excite fo.oli.sh and unedcuated PF kaponya minsters like Kampyongo and Lusambo!

  5. Chapamo has 10% stake and the Chinese 90% but it seem like chapamo company has 90% and the Chinese 10%

  6. From the statement, it is evident that the cadres for hire are pressurizing the government to open the mine soonest with or without safety measures put in place. The government is panicking.

Free advice and the safest one, sale the shares of the mine allocated to these small scale miners and open a Revolving Fund Account with ZANACO where all unemployed Zambian youths can access business loans at a fair interest. The mine belongs to the Zambian people and not just PF cadres.

  7. The statement from Kampyongo reads as follows:
“Operations at the Copper Rich Mountain were suspended last month following the death of 11 miners after a part of the mountain caved in burying them alive.”
The people who died CAN NOT be categorized as MINERS because if they were indeed MINERS this sad fatal accident could not have happened (May Their Souls Rest in Peace).
A MINER is a trained and qualified person to extract ore from Underground, Surface Pits of Dumps like Black mountain. The deceased did not have the above credentials SO THAT LET US CALL THEM BY THEIR TRUE NAME e.g. Cadres, Scavengers or Zama zamas in RSA.

  8. But out of all of them Bowman Lusambo stands out as the waste. I told a white English friend when I was in UK that in Zambia there was a minister who said me I am just a bootlicker and my friend was very confident that the guy was fired and I said No, he is still working, the guy could not believe it

  9. Marius how can you stoop so low and tell a white man about your minister. you are the reason white people call themselves supreme because your danda head . Has he ever told you about Boris Johnson, you see how cleaver they are, because ni muzungu you open your esophagus any how. laughable indeed. Ati I told a white English friend when I was in UK. ******* ****

  10. This is what happens when you have former Katondo street foreign exchange dealers in government .They overstep their mark and do not know the boundaries between the ministry of mines and ministry of home affairs . Government should be in the dock for the death of ten vulnerable people who needlessly died at the Black mountain . It is dim wits like Kanpyongo and lazy Lungu who allowed them to work there because they wanted votes . They keep sending their families into foreign services and leave these jobs at the Black mountains for ordinary Zambians .

  11. Why is the minister of home affairs addressing the issue of black mountain where in Musukwa , minister of mines?

  12. STOP AND THINK, WE ARE BEING CONNED HERE.
We surely can create wealth and make money locally.
As a starting point all those that will load slag from the Black mountain must pay US$150 per 30 tonne truck load.
The locals are transporting the slag to the Chinese, so we know the dollar will come from China for the slag.
Simple calculation (Cobalt Metal not included)
Slag Copper Analysis is 1.12 % Total Copper
Concentrator / Flotation Recovery is 78 % TCu
Smelter Recovery is 95 % Copper with refineries giving another 95 %
Slag Volume on the Mountain is approximately 50,000,000 Tonnes
    At copper price of US$7000
    This translates into US$2.8 Billion.(0.0112*0.78*0.95*0.95*50,000,000*7000)
The Govt must get 150*50,000,000/30 = US$250 Million from this free for all venture.
