Nkana confirm CAF Champions League qualification

Nkana have grabbed the last CAF Champions League spot after securing second place finish in the 2018 FAZ Super Division campaign.

Kalampa thumped Lusaka Dynamos 4-0 at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka on Saturday to end the league season with 76 points.

Nkana have finished four points behind champions Zesco United, who lost 1-0 at Green Eagles on Saturday.

Striker Ronald Kampamba scored a first half double before Idriss Mbombo and Walter Bwalya contributed a goal each in this round 38 match.

Sate Sate handed Nkana a 2-0 lead before the break with goals in the 2nd and 23rd minutes.

Mbombo netted his goal after 61 minutes before Bwalya, who replaced Kelvin Mubanga, pushed in the fourth goal on 84 minutes.

This win is expected to come as a relief to Nkana who were fighting for the Champions League spot against Green Buffaloes.
