President Edgar Lungu says the Constitutional court’s ruling over his eligibility to stand as President in 2021 has put a lot of anxiety to rest.

President Lungu has also clarified that he will be available for adoption to run as President on the PF ticket in 2021.

President Lungu is pleased that the ruling has addressed all questions and concerns among political players and Zambians at large.

The Head of State says there was a lot of speculations as to who would have been the candidate to contest on the PF ticket in 2021 if he was NOT eligible to stand.

President Lungu adds that some Members within the party also started positioning themselves to take over before the pronouncement by the courts.

He says he is aware that some had good intention to takeover, but others had evil intentions to supplant him.

President Lungu was speaking in an interview after the routine early morning run with over One Hundred and 50 staff from Barclays bank at State lodge, this morning.

Meanwhile, President Lungu has expressed concern with the number of youths dying from non-communicable diseases due to lack of exercise.

He says the Nation invests a lot in youths and that it is unacceptable to see them die at a tender age.

President Lungu has further encouraged youths across the country to adopt a life style of fitness to avoid non-communicable diseases.

  1. i wish i was there to witness how many KM’S where covered, that belly for chitotela can not even manage a 50 metres.

  2. What a shameless thief. You and your ConCourt will pay heavily for this it’s just a matter of time. But enjoy while it lasts. Having said that, this verdict is actually a blessing in disguise, HH has an easy opponent in 2021.

    • You also follow blindly what your TRIBAL QUEEN says every time. So let them follow blindly too. He definitely will lose HAGAIN in 2021 and I propose that he can stand HAGAIN when he will be 95, he might have a chance because I don’t see him winning in the next 5 Presidential elections because he is UNELECTABLE.

  3. Constitution should clearly state NO ONE SHOULD APPEAR ON BALLOT PAPER 3Times.

Am a non partisan political consultant

    • Please quot from the constitution. The judges were reading the constitution not from statementd from civil society.. I understand everything now. A term is 3 to 5 years. Anything less than 3. Years us not a term.. it’s not about ballot papers.. if you say ballot paper , others have been there more than 5 times. Now let’s discuss how to end shanty compounds

  4. Look at President Lungu.
The man is so charismatic. He will be adopted and he will win 2021.
Hanglo Hamerican (HH) will remain president of the UPND Facebook page.

  5. The lazy bum has too much time on his hands …everyone knew that the Concourt judgement would whitewash from that time he warned them.

Surely what do you want to do in 2021???

    • Lazy bum illiterate tribal TONGA hooligan bully son of an illiterate tribal polygamist father who never taught him toilet training pooping in diapers in public HAGAIN needing illiterate cynical tattoo-clad MUTINTA HICHILEMA, BoSpakata and CHILDISH to change his diapers HAGAIN. Your Tribal Queen is UNELECTABLE.

  6. It is a well known subject and you shall 100% retain power under PF God willing Sir!!!How can we allow a tribal creature (Kainde) and frustrated Kambwili to rule us?NEVER!!!YOU HAVE OUR VOTES IN 2021 COME RUN,COME SUN SHINE!!!The beauty is we are in a democracy where the majority wins!!!THOSE WHO ALWAYS WIN ONLINE(KAINDE) SHALL CONTINUE WINNING ON FACEBOOK BUT REALITY WILL CATCH UP WITH THEM ONCE JUDGE ESAU CHULU FROM ECZ ANNOUNCES A WINNER IN 2021!!!For now continue developing mother Zambia Mr President and we shall reward you in 2021.Take note,we are enjoying the NEW KWACHA NOTES which BOZ has printed-well done Sir!!!Forget about Kainde,GBM and Kambwili(their votes put together cannot defeat you in 2021 since masses in 6.5 provinces love PF!!!

  7. “President Lungu adds that some Members within the party also started positioning themselves to take over before the pronouncement by the courts.
He says he is aware that some had good intention to takeover, but others had evil intentions to supplant him.”

So what if they had intentions and if they still have intentions….how can they supplant you ….when are we going to mature as country?

    • Larry Mweetwa cannot grow a new brain! You cannot teach an old galu new tricks. Larry Mweetwa and CHILDISH can win at a rodeo because they know how to ride MAD COWS.

    • As usual nothing to offer but insults…have you told Bowman about the Massage Palours where you were raised.. playing with used discarded contraception products for toys in the backyard!!

  8. “President Lungu has expressed concern with the number of youths dying from non-communicable diseases due to lack of exercise.”
Really laughable…how can you exercise on an empty stomach..only him and his pot bellied ministers can afford to do so especially about a salary increase backdated to January.

  9. Seeing ECL nabena Chitalu, Davies Mwila, Chitotela , Dora and smiler boy Sikazwe leading Zambia for another 5 years life in Zambia would be worse than hell !! Tukakukila fye pa Congo

    • Lazy Lungu is hardworking…this is a chap who took vacation last week…You think running inside a State House for 15 mins is hard work…what is intelligent about him when he can not hold a press conference …I wonder what yardstick you are using. Did you ever hear Mwanawasa taking holidays and working visits every month????

    • Lazy bum illiterate tribal hooligan bully TONGA son of a tribal polygamist father who never taught him toilet training pooping in public HAGAIN needing a tribal cynical tattoo-clad MUTINTA HICHILEMA, BoSPakata and CHILDISH to change his diapers HAGAIN! UNDER FIVE CARD is not a presidential material.

    • @ JJ
SO WHO IS THE DULLEST AND MORE INTELLIGENT THAN THE OTHER BETWEEN YOU AND HAKALUSA HAGAIN, WHO TOOK HEED AND HAD COUNSEL FROM FROM OUR BELOVED ECL? Kikikikikiki………………………

  10. Such bitterness from bloggers. It’s true when the Bible says ‘He sets a table for his anointed in the midst of his enemies’. So one can expect to be surrounded by bitterness and jealousy from people when God anoints them with a Blessing of favor.

    • Satanists Ha bitter they can’t comprehend the Bible. Thank God Zambia is under God and Satanists Ha under the devil. Yes, “He prepares a table before my enemies. He anoints my head with oil! My cup runneth over! Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the House of the Lord for ever and ever!” Psalm 23.

  11. Am I the only who thinks that Jay Jay needs a life outside of Lusaka Times, perhaps some time with a therapist?

    • I can chew and walk at the same time my dear friend …its you who needs evaluation who is busy observing others like a paedophile or stalker…like those silly bloggers on the site who simply log in to copy and paste nonsense/ look at what others have posted.

    • Jay Jay you are simply a sad angry man with no life beyond spewing hate and bile on Lusaka Times. I feel sorry for those who have to come into contact with you,as you certainly not a barrel of laughs, you take yourself too seriously, even more than HH does. Maybe you were not shown much love as a child

    • There it is; I was waiting for your synopsis Doctor….but you gave yourself away when you dropped in your HH. You tins make the same distinct sounds…I don’t come here to entertain you or make pen-pals here. This Lungu you adore will come and go but its the debts he will leave behind for your children to pay….you think being President is taking holidays and campaigning? You are in the UK have you seen May on TV in Parliament, on radio being accountable to voters.
Go outside and take a walk in the cold ..no one is forcing you to visit LT.

    Follow the leader

    Kikikiki tuma seyana wikuke fulu

  13. After all is said and done, could we now explore why RB was built a $5m house if he didn’t save a full term? Why did RB and ECL collect presidential full term allowances if they didn’t qualify? Or did they not collect? Just asking.. those of you with information, kindly share..

    • Zambia is not a country for reflection …they simply say let’s move on its in the past even when millions have been wasted on one greedy moron RB.

    • Have you tried to participate at the rodeo riding MAD COWS? You can definitely be number one! CHILDISH too, you must take with you! You guys can win that!

    • @WILLZ OF AFRICA
Observe and obey the laws! RB was a duly elected president. So he is entitled to the presidential benefits. Whether you serve for 4 months or a bit more, as long as you’re duly elected then you’re entitled.

Differentiate this from “A TERM”, which should always be a minimum of 3 years of service. If you want to tie the two, then revisit and change the laws first.

  14. ECL is the best candidate for PF to contest 2021 elections . Suprisingly , CK and his compatriots have gone mute after the landmark court ruling. I guess reality and fear has engulfed them of imminent defeat in 2021. Some are all of a sudden conteplating rejoining PF. But some traitors have to be fired for surplanting their leader.

  15. Early morning run with one hundred and fifty Barclays Bank staff… Whilst HH is contemplating protests against a ‘ECL third term’ (which only exists in his head because of his religious hate of ECL), ECL has already started engaging the electorate then you wonder why he wins elections. Muleishiba utuntu!
