Patriotic Front (PF) Deputy Media Director Antonio Mwanza says people should report to police any person who will be found collecting money in the name of the party.

Speaking during an interview with ZANIS in Lusaka yesterday, Mr. Mwanza said that the Patriotic Front as a party in power, strives to be a good example to other political parties in Zambia and will not support any illegality.

He adds that every citizen is required to abide by the law regardless of the political party they belong to and that no one in bus stations or markets is supposed to collect tax apart from the local authority.

Mr. Mwanza affirmed that all bus stations and markets are in the hands of the council who are lawfully obligated to collect levies.

Meanwhile, Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo noted that it is legal for any citizen to own a radio message, as they are sold in shops and even used by some security companies.

Ms Katongo said there is no restriction to radio message ownership provided that people have their own network given by the Zambia Information and Communication Technology (ZICTA).

She adds that the Zambia Police have a closed network which is not mutual and other radio message owners equally have their own network which enables them to communicate amongst themselves.

Ms Katongo was reacting to concerns by some citizens regarding the mushrooming numbers of political cadres owning radios messages.

  1. Prevention of thefts to grown ups does not work, its part of their DNA. To work within PF ranks is next to a miracle.

    • Atonio Mwanza is the only stranger in PF who has failed to comprehend the philosophy of UUBOMBA MWIBALA ALYA MWIBALA introduced by the supreme Leader himself and urged his leutenants to eat and this has made remarkable progress.

  2. Please Antonio, you dont talk when you are eating,if those measures where implemented everyone one in PF maybe even yourself would go to jail, we shall talk about arresting you morons after August 2021 for now just steal enough to pay lawyers….

  3. Antonio Mwanza is the the only new commer in PF who has failed to comprehend the philosophy of UUBOMBA MWIBALA ALYA MWIBALA. This was introduced by the supreme leader himself who is Antonio Mwanza to reprimand others yet you only came yesterday.

  4. The only solace i get when i see what is happening in PF is that this is the true legacy of Sata…confusion and lack of direction, he is the biggest liability Zambia has ever created. The confused team he left behind make people like Gery Zulu,Kamalondo Bulawayo not to mention KK himself look like geniuses

  5. I salute Antonia Mwanza for bravely stating the legal position on who deserves to collect Levies from Bus stations and other public utilities. The law is clear except the rest of the PF party members are either they have become the law onto themselves or mere cowards and so is the local government who desperately needs the money to facilitate development in various district across the country. PF cadres have mostly become a terror institution pouncing on any citizen or institution with divergent views, this explains why the local authority are now helpless despite having the support of the law. i thought we had enough of the Vigilantes in the Kaunda era.

  6. Antonia came to this jungle of empty tins yesterday now he is calling the shots….just imagine what these tins do with govt money.

  7. I salute you Antonia Mwanza for stating the legal position on bus station and other public utility on levies. Unfortunately, your bosses and other PF cadres who believe in flouting the law with impunity, feel you deserve to be stoned, figuratively that is. They are quick to preach to others on the consequences of anarchy but it does not apply to them. Shame!

  8. LT, why are you withholding my messages. I know you are politically inclined to PF but allow me to salute Antonia Mwanza for stating the legal position. Please display my messages.
