Chief Government Spokesperson, Dora Siliya says calls for the Vice President Inonge Wina to step down or to be removed from her position are uncalled for.

Ms Siliya says the Vice President, just like any human can fall ill.

Ms Siliya who is also Information Minister said Mrs Wina was attended to by experts and she is now recovering.

The Chief Government Spokesperson was speaking in Lusaka this morning in an interview with the media at Mulungushi International Conference Centre.

And Ms Siliya has described the ongoing National Dialogue Forum-NDF- as extremely consultative.

Ms Siliya said Zambians want to see a better governance system, electoral process and public order act.

She explained that the review process for the constitution dates to 2016 and members of the public, stakeholders and technocrats made submissions to the constitution amendment.

And said the opposition MPs have realised the importance of being part of the law-making process by adding their voice on behalf of the people they represent.

  1. This is a decision that bo Inonge will have to make. If she steps down, she will have time to rest but where will she get a salary this hefty? If she doesn’t, she is putting more strain on her already frail heart thereby reducing on the number of days she has to enjoy being veep. It’s not an easy decision to make. Get well soon gogo.

    • Zambians love Inonge, except the PF.
Nobody suggested that Ba Inonge steps down. Dora don’t tell us that there are already infighting in PF over the veep position.

    • Thats the problem with Politicians all over the world….they love hefty free money….Inonge needs to step down….period

  2. How is it uncalled for to ask a woman who is 75 years old has had an operation in the last 4 months where she has had to spend a month in hospital abroad in India and has had a heart attack in the last week was sent abroad…I mean its not like she is paying for her own trips its poor taxpayers. What does she even do in the office…her age mates have retired and are watching their grandchildren she is in the office reading newspapers and drinking tea.

    • You are just hater like satam mudala. Is their anything good you will ever say in your life time…eish what a dark soul for a human being.

    • You are just a hater like Satan mudala. Is their anything good you will ever say in your life time…eish what a dark soul for a human being.

    • The old hen is too tired…only when she collapses in public will you realize, we never learnt anything from old man Sata’s death. Whose is a dark soul one who is calling for the old hen to rest or her who knows she is sick but continues to cling on and listening to crooks; she doesnt even know whats happening around her I mean she has stated that she is going in 2021 but that’s too far away best she steps down she has nothing to lose

  3. The PF government is the mast of manipulative information .The sickness of Mama Wina is at right time to chose the running mate to ECL before 2021 so that the campaign can start now. Here is the list of the potential replacement.
    1.Chitalu Chilufya (cementing Luapula Province)
2.Catherine Kaseba(Gender balancing and paying back to the late Sata family)
3.GBM (the chief insulting officer of PF and also cementing both Northern and Muchinga)
4.Davies Mwila(some people against him organising protests on his tail)
5.Dora Siliya (recommended by Kaiza Zulu and the man running the PF administration on remote RB;also cementing Eastern province)

    • Lazy Lungu can not have anyone like Kaseba who can outshine him on day one…the man is completely incompetent!!

    • Under the guise of cementing north and mchinga, You are just trying to sneak in your imbecile GBM whom we all know ain’t featuring anywhere on running mate lists. Whom are you trying to to cheat that GBM has a Bemba following? Bembas are very liberated people who don’t follow buffoons just because they are of the same tribe

  4. Dora you don’t have to just talk without
Wider consultations. Her time is up and
Her health is failing at tax payers money.
Zambians have alot of people who are
    Capable of replacing her.

  5. Kindly enlighten me.. What is her job description anyway. Can she do something useful for the country or only for her pocket?

  6. Nostradamus I agree with you. I haven’t heard or read calls for her to step down, Dora should tell us the truth where those calls are coming from.

  7. Am sure in her conditions of service there are guidelines on what ought to happen in her case. Those guidelines are what should be followed if she should be sent home. Meanwhile I think the authorities in charge of such are too weak to make any decision, especially if she ought to be on medical discharge in the country,s interest.

  8. Wena jayJay whatever you have against our mother should not blindfold you to a point of high level disrespect for her, aside her being the the Veep she is a mother/ grandma to many, stop calling her hen, you are such an ***** and a fool

  9. she was one of the instigator who pushed Lungu on Zambia. To be fair she has nothing to contribute. You need an alternative Head of State in the Veep’s office not someone just sitting their doing nothing. How can you have economic development while carrying deadwood. She should have been out of politics a long time ago. This what greediness does. She knows she has no capacity and energy to run that office but she still wants to cling to it. Zambians this is day light corruption. What value is she adding to Zambia?? To attract votes from loziland?? Nothing against her, but that is just a fact. We need to change and lift up the game!!!

  10. Ba Zambia even straight forward issues are subjected to debate. I think the sufferings going on in Zambia are created by you the people of Zambia. The politicians then take advantage out of it. At 75, what’s wrong for her to leave?

  11. Madam Inonge has done her part, history has been written her being the first VP in Zambia even if she goes in the archives she will still be remembered . Kindly help her by giving correct advice to her , the longer she remains in her position she is not getting younger but getting more strained . Better for her to rest.
What does it help to remain in power and loose your life? The consequences are for her to bear and she wont get away with it easily.
