ZAMBIA’S Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union,  Emmanuel Mwamba has said the diaspora community contributes significantly to the growth of the economy.

Speaking when he met Zambian teachers deployed to Seychelles, Mr. Mwamba stated that recorded annual contributions to the economy by the diaspora community has risen to $93 million.

He said it was for this reason that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs established a Diaspora Policy which was adopted and recently launched by the Vice President of the Republic, Inonge  Wina.

He said the framework provided positive interaction between Zambia and the Diaspora Community in coordinating skills transfer, sharing of knowledge, and best practices, and the formal recognition of their contributions to the economy.

Mr. Mwamba urged the teachers to uphold a sense of discipline and responsibility as they were representing the country in Seychelles.

He said Zambia had sent about 90 expatriate teachers to Seychelles and this formed a source of international pride to the country as it was exporting skilled labour.

Mr. Mwamba is in Seychelles for an Ambassdors’ Retreat for strategic annual planning for the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa(ECA).

This is according to press statement issued by Mrs. Inutu Mupango Mwanza, First Secretary (Press &Tourism), Addis Ababa, Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

  1. Ba cheese must hear this, not only did he disrespect those in diaspora, but went further to disrespect our chieftainess nkomesha, pang’ana pang’ana 2021 is around the corner you will remember the our Soli vote tah.

    • Lusambo has made this chi munthu ici seka seka all the time na ma glasses look like an angel. I think he (Mwamba) means well and lately he has toned down. In any case PF kuya bebele too much damage has been done already.

    • Ba Edgar brought musicians to New York, and we donated alot of money for PF. Alot. Again he came over to fundraise for National House of Prayers, we donated a LOT of money. We want our money back!!
Lusambo just dropped more than 500,000 votes from PF. If PF had balls they should have fired Lusambo instantly, let him join Kambwili in NDC.

    • I strongly support Lusambo on the issue of the Chieftainess of the Soli. She overdramatised her reaction. At not point did Lusambo say Nkomesha is a liar. At no point even during the ka ceremony was any plan to kill her. On the other hand this chief must realise that she has no power to command the govt machinery to her chiefdom. Chiefs are respected buy govt but not that govt is surbodinate to the chiefs. We are not a mornach and Nkomeshya must realise that. Nkomenshya must also reaslise that she does not own Lusaka Province and must stop being rude .

    • kikikiki, ba observer, there is reason why your NRC only shows, the name of your chief, village and district. respect our chiefs, yebo katoloba.

    • Nkomesha must realize that solis are a minority in their own land. Solis have been wiped off the map of Zambia and only remain in the name Lusaka

  2. Thanks a lot Mr Mwamba, but its disheartening to see our efforts neutralized to zero.We send more $$ yet Zambia’s forex reserves keep going down.

    • Mwamba is just being diplomatic on this issue. He knows very well that Bowman was correct on his statement. Is it not true that these toilet cleaners , Ass wipers etc will be flocking back to Lusaka from JHB, London, Washington, Perth etc . Be real bane twalishiba ifyo muchita mu London. Bowman has just called a spade a spade.

  3. Lusambo thinks he can eat without an ass.hole. Yes. Every part of the body works towards ensuring the entire system works well. Do not look down on anyone.

    • Mwamba is trying to cover what lusambo
Said. But the damage is already done. The
Best is to sideline lusambo to ease the
Anger he has created. Lastly with all the
Money coming in why dollar dropping so fast?

  4. You see even the worst cadre of pamafi cannot afford to insult Zambians in diaspora. Now just imagine what kind of substance the MMD Die Hard boot licker is made of – mafi!
    Disaster!!!!

  5. My whlte wlfe and I are voting in the United kingdom general election. It feels good to vote in credible elections where you know your vote counts. After that I am taking her for pregnancy test as we have had a pregnancy scare. Wish us luck. Pf same tin but different meats.

  6. Some very good comments from Mwamba, however he lacked the sense and courage to condemn what Lusambo said. He should have openly condemned those silly comments from the PF lead cadre. It is even strange that non of the PF members has come out to condemn and reprimand the grossly groomed Lusambo.

    • Abanensu ba mu Diaspora ukununka kwa mafi ne fisushi fyaba sungu na ba mwenye faylibafulunganya bongobongo. We can tell by their behaviour. Just watch them carefully when they get into Lusaka this December.

  7. This is Mwamba ka, is this not the same chap that strungled his fellow Kasai Chiluba to death and also rigged the last elections for Chagwa thinking he will be made veep? Ala kunya bebele! As for Lusambonyo, likula number 1 litole lilya sure. Just imagine sich a fool being in charge of the province where the capital is, what a shame. And in all this, Lungu is deafeningly quite, “mane ine sinamunungu sesi swelwi inge si nyelela fa mangandandila!”

  8. Let’s hear from those who have worked abroad, like chibamba Kanyama. Was he really cleaning toilets at the world bank offices? Is Sharon also cleaning toilets?

  9. If Lusambo was ever raised with good manners, he would have come forward and apologized for the stupid ignorant rant that he presented in front of his equally uneducated friends. If he can’t respect all human beings irrespective of what their social status is, then how can we expect him and his cronies to empathize with those with jobs “beneath ” him? How can one expect him to improve the livelihood of poor people if he can laugh at a “toilet Cleaner” like that? Does he know why one may be cleaning a toilet in UK or USA? In the west, there are so many ways to make legal money to enable us to help those in Zambia that can’t pay for schools etc and houses /businesses have been built in this way to boost Zambia’s economy!!

  10. Can someone confirm that Dambisa Moyo was seen cleaning toilets in Washington or is it that ministers in Zambia have never used toilets because they enjoy open defecation and VIPs. Lusambo is truly an as2hole.

    • @13th Desciple .You have seen too many of the As2holes in your job. Since you enjoy wiping of the old peoples as2HOLES in London keep doing it. It is yur career choice.

  11. @john, iam not in London. Iam here in my home town Kitwe. Its Lusambo cleaning as2holes of his bosses with his tongue. He is not a boot licker but as2 licker.

  12. Truth be told. The day I return home for good I’ll be living like a king because of the proceeds from wiping asses of bazungu. Not to mention that my family back home are living a good life. Work is just that.

  13. I remember stopping over in Kitwe with my wife and daughter at KMB in 1988. The toilets were horrible!! We had to go and have a meal at Edinburgh Hotel to have access to descent toilets. So it is puzzling to hear that Zambians look down on toilet cleaners in the UK who earn more than K17,000 a month, have descent housing and great schools for their children.

In the meantime, civil servants in Zambia are not being paid.
