RULLING Patriotic Front PF Media Sunday Chanda has cautioned embattled Lusaka lawyer John Sangwa against hiding under the legal profession to propel an opposition political agenda.
Speaking at the Patriotic Front PF Interactive forum in Lusaka today, Mr Chanda told Mr Sangwa to desist from making political statements disguised as professional opinions.
The PF Media Director said the ruling Patriotic front is resolved when it comes to President Edgar Chagwa Lungu’s Candidature for the 2021 general elections.
” We are going to take Mr John Sangwa to the political laundry and wash him clean since he wants to be making daming political statements that are meant to discredit PF and President Edgar Chagwa Lungu,”Mr Chanda said.
Mr Chanda said that all those wishing to question President Edgar Chagwa Lungu’s eligibility to contest the 2021 general elections should go to court and seek recourse.
And Mr Chanda said that it is very unfortunate that the same group of people claiming that President Lungu is not eligible to contest the 2021 general election are the ones trying to shoot down the Bill 10.
This was ably settled by our competent judges at the Concourt.
That upndead barrister Sangwa is a sworn upndead sympathizer.
Ignore this deranged and compromised nincompoop.

What qualification does Monday Chanda have for him to question a constitutional lawyer?

It’s a premature debate. We’ve a situation where the security services were unable to detect a country-wide gassing spree because their concentration was on the political opposition and not criminal groups. Zambians don’t need protection from the opposition but they need protection from criminals. If Edgar Lungu qualifies to stand in the 2021 elections, that’s up to him to decide. The constitution is irrelevant.
As a direct beneficiary to ECL’s presidency, monday is in no position to speak about this matter.

Whenever anyone says something contrary to their agenda, they come out with threats and oppose facts.
Even if God appeared today and said Lungu is incompetent, they would call him all sorts of names and sat he is an agent of “external forces” pushing for “regime change”. I think even if we don’t like someone we should all respect the judiciary. If the courts ruled that ECL is eligible we either challenge the court or accept their ruling. The court rested on the clause that less than 3 years is not counted as a full term according to the current constitution and we do not apply laws retrospectively. Once you pass a new constitution you cannot use what is in the old constitution to determine a case. Mr Sangwa as a lawyer knows that. The question now is what would motivate someone of Mr Sangwa’s status in society to say things like Mr Chanda is alleging. I hope Mr Sangwa was misquoted.
Instead of him quoting the Constitution clause and prove to us that the man is eligible, he just resort to name calling. So for us who are non partisan we’ve robbed of an opportunity to know who is right between the two of them.
Anyway, having so miserably failed to rule and bankrupting the country, Chagwa shouldn’t even try to contest otherwise Chagwa azagwa chabe!
Sangwa is just an angry small boy. I win elections and remain part of the pf. So until sangwa can make a clone of me to help opposition win elections, pf will continue ruling this country.
We should know by now that laws do not mean anything to PF, or President Lungu. Consitution? Spit on it and change it if it doesn’t let him do what he wants to. The international community knows the truth. They call Zambia a ‘hybrid’ democracy – in other words, a fake democracy. Lungu will run again, PF will win a close election, surprise surprise, in 2021. AK according to the old constitution on which Edgar Lungu was elected he served the first term so he is now serving the second term you cant take the new constitution to cure a past event law does not work like that for example if u r jailed for theft and the maximum sentence for that crime is 3 years and while you are serving the change the maximum sentence for that crime to 7 years will they change ur sentence to 7 years no but someone who wil commit a crime under that new rule will serve 7 years for the same crime u r serving 3 so dont leave in denial even when u can read the constitution and understand.
Sangwa is enving for a position in upnd this is a well known factor but alas to him because will not have that position come 2021.Its a pity for him to dispel the ruling which was made by a conditional court.Is Sangwa honestly a genuine lawyer or is a fake one just because he wants a post,gentle men let us be patriotic.

By the way, who took the issue to court to detamine if ecl is eligible to stand in 2021? What did the court rule on this matter? Its the court that finaly ruled that ecl can stand! Samngwa does not posses the monopoly of wisdom. He lost a lot of cases in court. For example, sangwe was hired by hh to represent him on 2016 election petition. Sangwa as a contitutional lawyer failed to interpret the 14 days, when professor mvunga who lectured sangwa and reptesenting ecl brought the 14 day issue to the attention of the jury that the the case could not continue bcoz the 14 days had elapsed. Sangwa confessed that he felt like he was in class learning from prof mvunga interpreted the 14 days. Your sangwa was ambarrased, and he letter left hh and gbm on court and want home to sleep. So what are you upnd minions talking about?

The issue of eligibility is a closed one. The CONSTITUTIONAL COURT already ruled, gave guidance on this. So why is this John Sangwa chap trying to mislead/ incite people?
UP aNd Down have realised that their only hope of being in State House is through unscrupulous means. That they cannot win defeat Edgar at the ballot. They are doing everything possible to create ALL SORTS OF CONFUSION ahead of the PF General Conference slated for May.
