Some PF officials on the Copperbelt are scared of Mobilisation Committee-Mwila

Share

Ruling PF Secretary General Davies Mwila says some members of the party’s main structures on the Copperbelt are scared of the Mobilisation Committee.

Mr Mwila stressed that the squabbles recently reported on the Copperbelt is as a result of some people in the main structures being scared of the Mobilisation Committees.

He said officials in the main structures need to understand that the work of the Committee is to help supplement their efforts in the party.

Mr Mwila explained that the Mobilisation Commiteee is an adhoc or temporal arrangement which will be dissolved after elections.

“The people in the main structures need to realize that the Mobilisation Committee is here to help them. We want to see a situation where those work side by side. Our main goal is to see to it that President Edgar Lungu comes back into State House,” Mr Mwila said.

He added that he was disappointed that a party matter over the misgivings regarding the presence of the Copperbelt Mobilisation Committee was allowed to go to the media.

“Firstly, what was a party matter, an internal party matter and I was upset that they took the matter to the press, I was very disappointed but we have since urged the main structures to embrace the work of the Mobilisation Committee.”

Mr. Mwila was speaking when he featured on the Sunday Interview on ZNBC TV.

  1. The people in the structures have zero funding at all but the people in the mobilization committee have funding, meaning they get paid and have kick backs that’s why the structures are not happy.

  2. “Our main goal is to see to it that President Edgar Lungu comes back into State House,” Mr Mwila said”. What a wrong motive by Hon Mwila. It is like President Lungu should be voted back into state house regardless his bad or good performance. That is a wrong and dangerous motive to Zambia economic advancement. He could have said lets vote back President Edgar Lungu for massive road infrastructure with borrowed money that has a a marginal or no investment return save Kafue Lower Hydro. Kafue Lower Hydro is the best investment that PF government has made. I wish all the borrowed money spent on the roads were spent on hydro. Hydro could have repaid that loan in less than 7 years. The company I work for is building a 800 MW co-generation costing almost the same amount as Kafue Lower Hydro…

  4. Part C. I wish all the borrowed money spent on the roads were spent on hydro. Hydro could have repaid that loan in less than 7 years. Whether you belong to PF, UNDP, any other party or you do not belong to any party, you would want to vote for a president who is inspired to solve the problem of poverty.

  5. Its good that there is confusion in this party, it exactly the way you have run the country. We can’t wait for 2021 elections so we can vote lungu & his MPs out. Only we don’t trust the chik.ala privitizer so we have to look closely who to vote for. But for MPs mwaelasha, our votes will go to opposition. #2021votechange

  6. The MMD had the task force with Joseph Malanji as its head but they lost terribly because there was a protest vote within the MMD and Malanji himself was one of the casualties, just like Webby Chipili and Stephen Mutale. That Mobilization Committee is like a parallel structure which is destabilizing the main structure. Davies Mwila ask yourself why should there be structures if you can’t work with them? The Mobilization Committee isn’t recognized by the Constitution. So fund and work through through established structures to the illegal committee

  7. When you fail to define anything you will not know what you are doing. To their credit, UNIP was clear about what they wanted despite that they eventually marched confidently into the abyss in their last few years because the Dunning-Kruger effect got the better of the critical ignorant mass that took hold of power. For these guys there is absolutely no clue. Those who have power don’t know they have it and those who don’t are dangerously paranoid about what will happen to them when they presumably “lose it”.

  8. The party’s main structures vs Mobilization Committee? If the party structures are not getting the putrid fish smell they better decipher how the channel of command works for the mobilization committee! The main structures have been found wanting and are being made ineffective in a roundabout manner!
