  1. The genesis of Bill 10 was an evil out come of the dialogue process which Zambians thought to mend when many were injured as a result of the worrisome and doubtful 2016 General elections.
This animal came in to hijack the whole plan to hount Zambians. God is God and we still wait for this rotten leadership to give answers to un asked and asked questions of 2021 elections. UMULANDU TAUBOLA.
WHETHER YOU HIDE YOURS SELVES IN THE SPIRIT OF PRAYER OR NOT ZAMBIANS SHALL ASK YOU TO EXPLAIN AFTER 2021.

    • Another referendum fail but who will cry out in 2021? POA in full force and upnd should not come and cry foul

  3. ‘If you want to hide something from an African put it in writing/book ‘ end of qoute …unknown. These folks I can bet do not even understand why they are celebrating because they have failed to mention which clauses they didn’t want… Just because the Supreme leader HH of the UPND opposed the Bill the way he opposed the Bill of rights…they have all fell into group think mentality typical of the UPND danderheads and sycophants….

    • That hungry lion meal is an indication of the cost saving mentality you should expect from an HH government. The PF extravagance with public funds has to end

  5. Typical under five celebrating too early. Mazoka did the same and we all know what happened afterwards. The opposition should be more worried that PF needs only six MPs to control parliament and PF does not need a two third majority to win the general election.

  6. HH and Mutinta are very humble family, they shares that house with all Zambians. Is there any PF who has never been to that house?
Government should pay off loans on that house, it is now a State House.

  7. Why celebrate when you didn’t vote, but decided to hide at your masters house. You dimwits. Wait for 2021 when you will cry.PF is not worried and you celebrate as though you have won a general election instead of strategizing and thinking about the loss in recent by elections

  9. Some of the contents of Bill 10 were not bad, they progressive but I hated the reintroduction of Deputy Ministers and the issue of dividing constituencies at will.

@Fwanya, where on earth have you been for you to state that the opposition did not mention which sections of the Bill they opposed?
Your own quote works against you, you did not read anything.

  13. We do not need to declare Zambia a Christian Nation. Stop stealing, stop corruption, stop adultery, stop tribalism, stop all the hate against others …… That is what will make this country Christian PERIOD ! Is that a clause that you can say was good .. sorry your deceit has failed at least once.

We pray to God to intervene again and again….

  14. THE DAY DAVID SLEW GOLIATH WITH ONE SINGLE STONE SHOT AND THE THE WOMEN OF IZRAEL WENT TO THE STREETS AND SANG THAT FAMOUS SONG ” ABOUT DAVID SLEWING HIS THOUSANDS, WHILE KING SAUL SLEWED HIS HUNDREDS” .

  15. So in PF no MP had a different view about bill 10? HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? ARE THEY IN A ONE PARTY STATE OF MIND?

  16. Shocking how do you celebrate something you shunned and played no role in debating? The winners are those who debated this both against and for not those cowards who insulted their constituents by absconding through out the deliberations of this bill. The upnd think the failure of a bill that never existed means they are winning elections. The same hyenas were the ones complaining about the current constitution and that it concentrates powwr to the executive. The upnd are clueless and don’t know what they want. This is what happens when your leader has never held public office or a parliamentary role.

  17. My honest opinion is that bill 10 was passing had kambwili not been arrested. From the look of things his arrest angered a lot people including those in the inner circles of government. Small things matter in politics. Government only needed to convince kambwili

  18. Looks like a scripted set up for 2021 elections….i can foresee someone crying foul….PF bandits are just playing tricks…..this is Lungu’s master plan to dribble and rig elections very easy….watch this space

  19. Bill 10 yagwa, next ni Chagwa azagwa! It was a devious fvcked up piece of legislation only intended to perpetuate the failed kleptomaniac and tribally bigoted leadership of PF!

  20. So glad that Bill 10 was thrown out. What a joke of attempted amendments. I’m waiting for PF’s next filthy trick to try and stay in office now. I will not be relaxed about the future of this nation until we have new leadership.
KZ? Any insight on their next attempted tricks?

  21. Body language for all gathered UPND members in the pictures shows that they are not yet ready to form government. Zambia is far from having a government in waiting.

  22. What is there to celebrate. This is just a normal parliamentary process. Bills succeed or fail all the time. Then if UPND does not celebrate this ‘victory’ what are they to celebrate in 2021.. Nothing

  24. This is not the victory. This is betrayal of our own people. If you were so confident about your opinion, all the UPND MPs should have been allowed to attend the voting.

  25. Its good to celebrate victories cause they maybe the ONLY celebration we shall have or they maybe a stepping stone for furture celebrations

  26. Hiding instead of voting against it is nothing great. You must realise one thing, there are 105 MPs who voted in favour and 0 MP against it. By abstaining from the discussions, UPND has only exposed the fault lines within.

  27. This is good, had the evil bill gone through, we were not going to sleep with the celebration of arrogance proportions from the PF. The youth, women and the disabled must be told the truth that even with the current situation they can participate in the leadership of this country if their political parties adopt them, it is in the hands of political parties to adopt the youth, women and children, it does not require bill 10.

  28. So why was the PF saying the evil bill will go through. So they will as usual start blaming failure of bill 10 for their failure to perform. It was climate change, then HH, then copper prices, then covid and now it will be failure of bill 10. Your time is up, you have even overstayed.

  29. The PF has been celebrating whenever they win bribe induced by-elections and they are allowed to celebrate. Now PF has used lots of money and time pushing for Bill 10. The UPND and other well meaning citizens and organisations have been against Bill 10. Parliament rejected Bill 10. UPND have every reason to celebrate. Those defeated dont have the monopoly to decide when the winners will and can celebrate. It is only people with dictatorial mentality who will deny opposition their right to celebrate. Indeed some characters are even saying PF will now use POA to deny opposition space to campaign. The opposition defeated Bill 10 under the discriminatory application of the POA. So dont bank on this old POA to illegally win 2021 elections. Many Zambian citizens are alert these days. They will…

  30. Celebrating what? Being afraid of speaking out your mind? Being scared of dire consequences at the hands of your leader? What kind of people’s representatives are you, who can’t stand for even themselves! What would you do for the people who voted you? Disgusting.

  31. This is a short lived celebration. Hard things are coming where they don’t win. Try and win councillor and parliamentary seats in pf strongholds before you start celebrating a piece of paper that never existed. Bill 10 is yours, presidential and general election is not.

    • Short lived, long lived, worry not, we are celebrating. You can also lick your wounds in which ever fashion you want.

  32. They were going on TV saying wanyala. So who has nyaladi now, don’t stop people from celebrating, you can also mourn in any way you feel. We will not prescribe how you lick your wounds.

OK this is embarrassing! By all means give each other high-fives but throwing a party? I’m not too sure!
I have not seen anything that will stop Lungu and his minions from repeating what he did in 2016, i.e. manipulating and stealing the elections. If anything, he is now openly using ECZ and Chiefs to do his donkey work and make it easier for him.
I think this is what the UPND should be focusing on and concentrating on. Smile on the small win and immediately go to work and strategize how to stop Lungu from stealing the elections again. Not impressed with this juvenile celebrations… do this when you win the presidency.

  34. The celebration is for stopping Bill 10 which aimed at mutilating the constitution of Zambia. Rejecting moves to change the constitution of Zambia using a draconian Bill 10 is indeed a bigger win than a few by-elections won through hook and tricks!! The constitution of Zambia affects all Zambians including those who are not members of any political party!

  35. This ain’t something to celebrate. Shows how myopic our opposition is. Zambia has poor human rights records and you the opposition do nothing to fight these everyday

    • . An opposition party should use its collective power and wealth to challenge legally things like the constitutionality of the Public Order act, take the President’s daughter to court for fencing off stateland, challenge the constitutionality of the President’s protection by the criminal defamation act, legally challenge the unilateral shutting down of a broadcaster Yes the opposition should not just watch and wait for a lucky moment called election day. Opposition takes part of the blame for government’s poor rights record because it is sitting on the fence and not practically challenging illegality.

  36. Poly Trix, the government is a duty bearer when it comes to upholding human rights. So when a government supported draconian Bill is stopped, it is showing a red card to the ruling party in government that the opposition and other well meaning citizens will not tolerate mutilation of the supreme law of the land and also any actions which violates human rights. So why does Zambia have poor human rights records? Is it the opposition to blame on this record? What are you Trix doing to address the poor human rights records in Zambia?

    • @Ngoma Yamaano. parts of your statement I may agree with but my main point which you ignore is that its a waste of time celebrating victories for little battles that are supposed to be part of a bigger war that needs to be won. What am I trix doing to address the human rights record? I make noise every day but if I belonged to an opposition party with its massive resources, I would have more of an imperative to fight legally.
This because opposition should be seen as a shadow cabinet with counter manifestos that the electorate is dying to see implemented. An opposition party should use its collective power and wealth to challenge legally things like the constitutionality of the Public Order act, take the President’s daughter to court for fencing off stateland, challenge the…

  37. One good thing of Bill ten falling is that there will be no deputy ministers. That would have been more thieves for any future Zambian government kikikiki. One bill at a time. The affirmation of Zambia as a Christian nation can be done as a single bill even next week.

  38. Kwena these goons are shameless ai? Kwati twaiche.

Ka Mweetwa looks sick. Is he fine?

  39. I can only point out two MPs in the pictures with postures of people that seem ready to form government. Gary Nkombo of Mazabuka Central and Newton Samakayi of Mwinilunga East. Basala including my good friend HH ni wala!

  40. Cows celebtrating eating roasted cows from Hungry Lion. They will cry come 2021 because they have dug their own grave! Big people dancing for rubbish! One tribe out of 73 tribes of Zambia dancing? Something must be wrong with this tribe!

  41. Ba UPND. They don’t even know how to dress. All of them in colonial dress. Only women in African dress. Their president does not even know that when wearing that colonial dress he needs to tuck in his shirt. Those are the rules
