Muchinga Province Permanent Secretary Tuesday Bwalya has commended China Jiangxi International Economic and Technical Cooperation Limited a constructor, working on the Nambuluma/ Chinsali Boma access road under construction in Chinsali District for exhibiting quality works.
Dr Bwalya said the works done so far are of high quality which will stand a taste of time.
He said such works are commendable adding that he is confident that the contractor will continue exhibiting quality works throughout the project.
ZANIS reports that the Provincial PS said this yesterday during an inspection of the road works in the company of the Road Development Agency (RDA) and other government officials.
Dr Bwalya has since appealed to the contractor to expedite the works saying residents of Chinsali have suffered for many years moving on a deplorable road to and from the junction.
“Residents here move over 20 minutes to the junction on a stretch of 16 kilometers but if this road is worked on, things will change and it is easy to move,” he said.
And China Jiangxi International Economic and Technical Cooperation Limited Project Engineer Maric Kangamba assured the Provincial PS that the remaining works will be completed ahead of schedule.
Mr Kangamba said with the conducive weather pattern being experienced, works will be completed according to the time frame.
“We will also continue with the quality of works on this road, we will not disappoint the government, ” he said.
The Permanent Secretary later visited the Road Development Agency (RDA) offices where he urged RDA officials to strengthen collaborations with stakeholders to ensure consistent road maintenance across the district.

Why is he in a hurry to vouch that these works “will stand a taste of time”?
The clock hasn’t even started to tick and he is praising the contractor. I ain’t saying the contractor is bad but we need to experience his product before we start cheering. “Umusebo bautasha Nga wafika”
