ABSA Bank Zambia has unveiled new digital payment solutions, including Virtual Cards, Absa Pay, Garmin Pay and Swatch Pay, aimed at making transactions faster, safer and more convenient for customers.
Speaking during the launch of the digital payment solutions in Lusaka, Absa Bank Zambia Executive Director, Mizinga Melu, said the innovations are designed to support Zambia’s transition towards a digital economy while improving access to secure and convenient payment methods.
Ms Melu said the newly launched solutions will enable customers to make payments using their mobile phones and compatible wearable devices without the need to carry physical bank cards.
“The launch of these digital payment solutions is about making banking easier, safer and more convenient,” Ms Melu said.
She noted that the innovations address common challenges faced by customers, such as forgetting or misplacing physical debit cards, while helping bridge gaps in access to financial services.
