President Hakainde Hichilema has urged the people of Mkushi district in Central Province to vote for the United Party for National Development (UPND) in the August 13 General Elections.
President Hichilema implored the electorate to vote for him and Members of Parliament together with Councilors contesting on the UPND ticket.
He cautioned Mkushi residents not to be swayed by people who plunged the country into debt.
President Hichilema said this when he addressed multitudes of Mkushi residents during the community engagement held at the district show grounds.
He explained that the government under the leadership of UPND has made a lot of strides in bettering the lives of the people.
President Hichilema cited free education, debt restructuring and mass employment of teachers and nurses as some of the strides that the government has scored.
He stated that voting for UPND on August 13 is voting for continuity.
Meanwhile, President Hichilema elated multitudes of Mkushi residents with his dance moves prior to addressing them.
President Hichilema’s presence sent the audience into excitement.
He was accorded a thunderous welcome by Mkushi residents drawn from the 16 wards of the district.
