Oldguard Holdings Limited has donated 100 bicycles to the United Party for National Development (UPND) Presidential Mobilisation Team (PMT) to enhance the team’s mobility and operational efficiency, particularly in rural areas.
Receiving the donation, UPND Vice Treasurer, Loveness Malambo expressed gratitude to Oldguard Holdings Limited, saying the bicycles would significantly improve the team’s ability to reach remote communities and effectively carry out mobilisation activities ahead of the campaign.
Ms Malambo said the donation comes at a critical time and will strengthen the party’s grassroots campaign efforts.
“The bicycles will go a long way in easing transport challenges for our mobilisation teams, especially in hard-to-reach areas. This support comes at a crucial moment for the campaign, and we are grateful to Oldguard Holdings Limited for this generous contribution,” she said.
The PMT were also given 10 laptops to enhance administrative operations, content management, and other office-related activities undertaken by the Presidential Mobilisation Team.
UPND Presidential Mobilisation Team Patron, Mulambo Haimbe said the donation would improve the effectiveness of party members as they execute their responsibilities across the country.
Mr Haimbe also donated campaign T-shirts to UPND members during the event.
Meanwhile, Oldguard Holdings Limited Director for Business Development and Legal, Mwila Ndalamata, said the company decided to support the mobilisation team because it has confidence in the government’s leadership and development agenda.
Mr Ndalamata said the company believes that actions speak louder than words and commended President Hakainde Hichilema’s administration for delivering on its promises.
“We have seen progress through action, and we believe the country is moving in the right direction under the current leadership. Our donation is a small contribution towards making it easier for the mobilisation team to reach communities and continue sharing the government’s development message,” he said.
Mr Ndalamata added that Oldguard Holdings remains committed to supporting national development initiatives and expressed appreciation for the opportunity to contribute to the team’s work.
