Kalaba joins Zambia camp

Captain Rainford Kalaba and eight other foreign based players have joined the Chipolopolo squad that has camped in Lusaka to prepare for Sunday’s crucial 2017 Africa Cup qualifier match against Kenya in Nairobi.

Kalaba’s arrival on Monday evening brought the number of foreign based players in camp to nine.

He arrived in camp together with his TP Mazembe team mates Nathan Sinkala and Kabaso Chongo.

Other players in camp are midfielder Chisamba Lungu (Ural FC, Russia), defender Stoppila Sunzu (Lille, France), defender Aaron Katebe (Maghreb Atlantic), striker Collins Mbesuma (Mpumalanga Black Aces), Kondwani Mtonga (North East, India) and goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene of Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa.

All these players took part in the Tuesday morning training at National Heroes Stadium.

Those being awaited are, Lubambo Musonda (Gandzasar Kapan, Armenia), Emmanuel Mbola and Evans Kangwa (Hapoel Ranana, Israel).
