FAZ heads to the ballot in Kitwe

All is set for the 2016 Elective FAZ Annual General Meeting to be held on Saturday at Moba Hotel in Kitwe.

Incumbent FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya is being challenged by business executive Andrew Kamanga and ex-committee member Henchel Chitembeya for the top position.

Prior to the indaba a stakeholders meeting comprising candidates and their Election Agents will be held on Friday to agree on the ground rules ahead of the elections.

Ex-FAZ president Teddy Mulonga is urging the association’s council to adhere to the constitution as they converge in Kitwe.

“This meeting is critical. We are expecting the FAZ council to conduct business in a dignified manner, it is not cheering as if one is at the stadium,” Mulonga said.

Chisala Mofya, Katongo Cephas, Richard Kazala, Boniface Mwamelo and Pivoty Simwanza are competing for the position of Vice President.

Elsewhere, incumbent treasurer Rixie Mweemba will go unopposed following the disqualification of Nkana’s Alex Chola.

  1. Go Kamanga go we are behind you, this is your time to take over from the corrupt Kalusa Walya and his minions. Make sure they do not dribble you as they did last time in kabwe.

  2. Ticket sales missing, fake kit being produced by a gang in FAZ, no one knows where monies earned but FAZ goes, bailifs chasing FAZ all the time, no funds for grassroots football.

That is the legacy of great kalu and his gang.

  3. How come no one challenging the tresuarer position…this FA are biased towards the incumbent; let them publish the accounts…look at Fifa they were paying themselves big bonuses even when the were recording losses.

  4. Introduce the Grade 12 close too.
The other qualification should be that the presidential aspirant should have been African footballer of the year between 1980 and 2014.
He should have once married another race. Candidates who have once divorced are preferred.
