The Zambia Under-17 National Team lost 2-1 to the Copperbelt Select side in a practice match played at Heroes Stadium in Lusaka on Sunday.
The Oswald Mutapa coached Junior Chipolopolo is currently in camp preparing for this month’s COSAFA Under-17 Championship to be held in Mauritius from July 22-31.
The Copperbelt Under-17 Select team scored through Roderick Chitengi (penalty) and Samuel Kabwe while Mukuka Kafula inked the national team’s consolation goal.
This was a sweet revenge for the Kopala boys led by coach Kennedy “Zemba” Mvula having lost Saturday’s first test match to National Team at the same venue.
The Under-17 beat the Copperbelt Select 1-0 with a goal from Charles Mumba.
At the COSAFA Under-17 Championship, holders Zambia will take on neighbours Malawi, Madagascar and Mozambique in Group A.
