Zambia eliminated from 2017 CAF U17 qualifiers

Zambia has been eliminated from the 2017 CAF Under-17 Youth Championship qualifiers by Sudan.

The Under-17 team coached by Mumamba Numba on Sunday lost 1-0 to Sudan away in Al obaied in the return match of the second round.

Shihabeldeen Siddig Alzobair scored after 15 minutes.

The first leg match ended goalless in Lusaka two weeks ago.

This was the first assignment for the new-look Under-17 squad since Zambia was disqualified from the COSAFA Youth Championship over age-cheating

  3. We used to do well in under 17 tournaments before we got caught cheating. Does this mean we were successful because we were cheats? I think so.

    • @Soccer fan – You’re very much right. We did well in the past in youth tournaments because we used over aged players. Now that the system has caught up with us…. We are in a mess!!!!!!
