Kelvin Kaindu is new Power Dynamos coach

Ex-Zanaco winger and assistant coach Kelvin Kaindu has got the vacant Power Dynamos head coaching job.

Kaindu replaces his ex-trainer at Zanaco Danny Kabwe who quit a fortnight ago to take over at Lusaka Dynamos.

This is Kaindu’s first head coach posting in the FAZ Super Division after spending six years in Zimbabwe where he coached Highlanders, whom he led to two runners-up finishes in 2013 and 2014, Triangle FC and most recently How Mines FC.

“I thank you for awarding me this opportunity to coach Power Dynamos,” Kaindu said.

“I believe if we work together, there is nothing impossible.”

Kaindu will be assisted by Kampamba Chiuntu who is entering his second season as Power assistant coach while Mwenya Chipepo is second assistant.

And Power chairperson Bbenkele Haachitwe said they were looking forward to a fruitful relationship with Kaindu.

“The target is to see the team finish in a respectable position that suits our status above the 6th position we finished last year,” Haachitwe said.

Meanwhile, Power also unveiled their new club secretary following the recent resignation of Ricky Mamfunda.

Ex-FAZ executive committee member and former Lime Hotspurs chairman Happy Munkondya is the new club secretary.
