Teta was a fearless warrior – RB

President Rupiah Banda today lead thousands of mourners from all parts of the country in North Western Province for the burial of late Minister of Local Government and Housing Benny Tetamashimba at their family grave yard at Mutanda in Solwezi district.

Addressing the mourners, President Banda who was gripped with grief and sorrow said as Minister of Local Government and Housing, the late Tetamashimba went round the country to ensure that the local government was organized to meet the challenges of delivering good services to the people.

Mr. Banda described the late Tetamashimba as a fearless warrior who did not hesitate to take on many political challenges.

He said Mr. Tetamashimba was reliable honest person who was quick to admit where he was wrong and firm where he believed he was right.

The President said he admired late Tetamashimba for his courage to speak out on many issues without fear or favor and championed the cause of the entire province and the nation as a whole.

He said Mr. Tetamashimba was a man whom many people had difficulties in understanding as many people considered him as controversial while others found him difficult to predict.

Mr. Banda told the mourners that the late Tetamashimba approached him to stand as Republican President after the death of the third Republican President Levy Mwanawasa and did so with conviction and commitment to the campaign that followed and MMD emerged victorious.[quote]

The President told the people of Solwezi Central that they had lost a great champion of their interest and concerns and urged them to carry on with the programs their leaders had started.

And speaking at the same burial site, family spokesperson Nathan Mulonga paid tribute to government for giving the late minister a befitting burial and taking care of him during his sickness.

Mr. Mulonga said as a family they have lost a gallant leader of the family and nation adding that Tetamashimba was honest, unique, sincere who unified them.

Meanwhile, there was drama at the burial site when an insane person from Copperbelt dashed inside and sat in front of United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema and demanded some money.

Security officers has a tough time removing him as he held to a pole of the tent and he was only removed after Copperbelt Permanent Secretary Villey Lombanya talked to him and give him a K30, 000.

The funeral was also attended by second Republican President Fredrick Chiluba and his wife Regina, UPND President Hakainde Hichilema, Government Ministers and several senior Government officials.

  1. Fearless warrior, my foot! That man was the loudest spineless jackal to have tread the Zambian political landscape. He made the likes of Kamalondo etc look like Einstein. If there is an after-life and what we do in this life is a prelude to that, you bet Teta is now either a hyena or vulture in the Lower Luangwa National Park. So fearless, yes he was, though all for the wrong reasons and in nearly all cases in a wreckless, foolish, and gutless manner which explaines why only his masters and that thief Kafupi attended his burial. Indeed, his last was a congregation of wicked and opportunistic creeps of the world!

  2. Teta was nothing better than Shikapwasha, Mulongoti and VJ. RB says Teta was a fearless warrior. Hmm. I called him a fearless backing dog for RB. Teta would shameless and fearless say anything against the people for the sake of RB. Teta shamelessly lied about the heath of LPM. Teta and the remaining backing dogs for RB would stop at nothing to support RB and bravely denounced the people will at all costs. These charps sense in RB’s nonsense and see nonsense in people’s voices of reasoning. I don’t consider a deaf ear to people’s wishes as bravely but chip arrogance. That was Teta. Shikapwasha, VJ and Mulongoto and FTJ must go go, then Zambia shall be free at last. May his soul rest in peace.

  3. Warrior or no warrior the bottom line is that he is dead. The majority of Zambians hated this dead thing just like they hate Shikapwasha, Mulongoti, Chi RB and thieving kafupi. I wish you could all just die at once. ID!OTS.

  4. Other things I have no comment. But honesty. I doubt if he had it. He supported Levy’s stand on Chiluba’s plunder cases. He supported Silvia Masebo when she was his boss. But alas immidiately RB came with a different tune on these two TETA changed his steps in line with the new tune. Any way let him rest in peace for we all need peace at our earthly sojourn.

  5. Ubulwele bwa ntandabwanga nomulopa ukuma ifya ipeye ba Teta…. lol something like that. ha ha ha

  6. God gives and takes, he has taken Teta so that both the people and him can be at peace, thank you GOD. REST IN INTERNAL PEACE BROTHER.

  7. The warrior was killed by unknown killer of human killer and died at the UTH after feeling stable condition

  8. “ba bose baima nakalufumo ati uyu muntu alele apa ali bwino” typical of the glorius band song,Everyone is praised at death

  9. Im sure Teta is now a hyena somewhere in the parks. What good did he do here on earth?,maybe producing Children.

  10. As Sata would say, “….warrior wa ma fi” . Teta was a disgrace politically and morally. Maybe inhis personal life, to his family and friends he may have been a different man….. but that would only prove the lack of integrity and principles because one should be true to oneself first before trying to serve others.

  11. i had no high regards for this man called Tete, he couldnt wait to announce LPM successor. What kind of a soul did he have? He was completely lost kwati ni Mr Bean. Awe umwaume uyu alibipishya. This is a sign of selfishness and greed. Ala Lesa wa mulinganya, ka tushe mwe

  12. To err is human, but to err sincerely is to be sincerely mistaken and that is not human, but noble.

  13. Its wisdom in our culture to say good things about the dead, even if they are lies. Zambians know Teta’s public life, so they have their own impressions of the man.

However, when asked to speak at a funeral, people would rather say good things even if the dead person was awful.

  14. Normally, where human life is lost, there is no happiness even if the dead person was bad. Too bad Teta died hope he repented his sins

  15. whats up michi, when humans are alive they find it hard to repent ,till the last minute becoz they dont want to go to hell

  16. the good die young the evil ones die older but y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y chinibaba

  17. Nyamasoya says Teta was fearless, does it mean he had no fear for God as well? In that case he is already in hell.

  18. Now that Teta is no more, there will be alot of activities by politicians both MMD & PF-UPND to get the seat. It appears King Cobra will be busy doing the thing in Kasama Central whilst Prince Cobra (HH) will be busy in Solwezi Central. Solwezi Central will be tricky for MMD especially in town. The MMD should work hard coz Solwezi Central has become an extension of Copperbelt Urban. Kasama Central will be equally tricky as GBM is a definate candidate for PF. Lets us wait and see who caries the day.

  19. lets talk about leadership quality,u see the best predictor of the future is the past.
i end here for the next 2 minutes while am gone i want your eyes to light up.

  20. AM BACK. NO one can lead without being criticized or without been discouraged. a potential leader needs a mental toughness. i dont want a short tempered leader, zambia needs a leader who is tough minded who sees things as they are and will pay the price. leadership creates separation from some of your friends becoz of the responsibility it carrys that only you can carry …… 2 b continued VIVA THINK TANK

  21. imwe naimwe, short illness tamwa yumfwako? Now RB gotta say all the nonesense by himself…no idiot to do it for him! i will miss teta!
