Zambian Ambassador to Zimbabwe Emmanuel Chenda says Zambia remains hopeful that Zimbabwe will begin a new era after decades of political and economic paralysis.

Mr. Chenda, says Zambia will always cherish the cordial and long standing relations that the two countries have enjoyed over the years.

The Zambian Envoy was speaking in an interview with ZANIS in Harare, Zimbabwe yesterday.

Mr Chenda added that Zambia, like any other country, is anxiously waiting to witness the outcome of the current political situation in that country, and is confident that it will be beneficial to the people of Zimbabwe.

He stressed that it was cardinal for the people of Zimbabwe to agree on a new trajectory of moving forward in unity, in order to create a new Zimbabwe.

This follows the postponement of Emmerson Mnangagwa’s inauguration as Zimbabwe’s President, after the main opposition party, the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) filed a legal challenge to the results of last month’s election.

The ZANU-PF won the July election, with Mr Mnangagwa receiving 50.8 percent of the votes, while Nelson Chamisa polled 44.3 percent.

  1. For your information your own economy in zambia is paralysed. It seems these thugs are out of touch with reality. What makes zambia any better than zimbabwe when you are now begging from turkey to refinance your kalobas? the only difference is that zimbabwe has sanctions imposed against it.. otherwise zambia is in the same boat. Poor leader, poor decisions… you know the story!

  2. Abena Hakainde “petittion” Hichilema bengi!! Or is it an export business started by h.h? Very ingeniius if so.

  3. Zimbabwe had their chance and they goofed it. They are back to square one. It’s as if Bob never left, only changed his name.

  4. They will simply cite Zambia case where someone cried after losing 6th time

Chamisa is very childish below average.

Ati I will transform vic falls in to Las Vegas kkkkkkkk. And Zimbos believed the crap in urban areas

Come 2023 he will miss again

  5. “..This follows the postponement of Emmerson Mnangagwa’s inauguration as Zimbabwe’s President, after the main opposition party, the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) filed a legal challenge to the results of last month’s election….”

What different with Zambia , where lungu rushed and had to get a clerk to inogurate him after the chief justice refused ?

I belive this will be looked upon favourably by the West, I mean giving the opposition a chance to petition….

    • Had munangagwa ignored this court challenge and had himself inaugurated , that would have been game over for him.

      Very shrewd this crocodile….

  6. How would Chamisa expect to run the country with a minority in parliament?? These African opposition will do anything to seize power. Sadly, the principle that elections are won at the ballot and not in court will work against them. Like kainde here in Zambia, Odinga in Kenya, courts never made anyone president but like in all thriving democracies, the people through the ballot are the real kingmakers!!

  7. latest ZEC has called for a RERUN and MDC is bubbling with confidence to WIN the election as BOB AND HIS WIFE ARE ON THE SIDE OF MDC

  8. zimbabwe is basically a military state…the military have consolidated their grip on power…they are going to be worse off…and they will miss uncle Bob
